I am here in Washington State working, I was born in New Haven Ct, and moved to florida and have been to many, many pizza parlors in my time trying to find the BEST pizza wherever I may be at the time. Although I have been away from connecticut for a very long time, My opinion is that no pizza anywhere can compete with connecticut pizza...Until now, VIA TRIBUNALI has the best pizza I've had in a very long time, From the waitresses to the brick oven they had shipped from naples...The brick walls and the beautiful Italian music. It all ads to the experience, my rating of 4 stars is based on a pizza which you will write home about...the sausage and thin dough with the slighty sweet sauce makes an outstanding pie, the reason why "THE PAISAN FROM PSL" rated this a 4 and not a 5, is because it was a little on the pricey side and because the chefs are from Naples Italy, they have their way of doing things, and That is just how the pizza is made....Their way, meaning this...If you order a pie on the menu, That is how you will get it, you cannot ad any ingedients to the pie. It is an excellent pie no matter how you slice it, worth the drive from any part of Washington, That is if you are a true pizza buff.... Enjoy ! ! !..."THE PAISAN FROM PSL"
Pros: Excellent food, sevice, atmosphere
Cons: Pricing, Parking

Don't know which was worse, the pizza or the service. The pizza was undercooked and the sauce was bland. The crust has the consistency of a pita, not even close to crispy. I would have complained but our waitress was nowhere to be found. After we received our check, we couldn't help feeling that we were being rushed out the door. Can't understand the hype.
Pros: It was nice inside
Cons: The pizza and service

This place doesn't want to be the "best pizza in Seattle" or to have "European style" or anything else. This is the only place where you can order pizza and be sure that if you ordered the same thing in Naples it whould taste exactly the same. The ingredients are genuine, there is a wood oven, and the taste is how pizza is supposed to taste. After living in Italy for 8 years, I can tell you: this is the real thing. Add to that the cozy place and really friendly service and you have a great night out to dinner. I am lucky to have found this place. Bravi...
Pros: Real Italian Pizza
Cons: Can't think of any

The atmosphere is sultry. The pizza is nothing short of incredible. Thin crust pizza, with few ingredients but big flavors--places like this remind me that the secret to a great meal is in the quality of the ingredients. I like the pizza with the arugula and parmesan on top, and the vesuvio one that's kind of like an oversized calzone. If you get there right when it opens, there isn't a wait--otehrwise, be prepared for a quite a waiting list. But there are plenty of bars around to go for a drink while you wait. OH and they have the best tiramisu i've ever had, and I always get it--it's my favorite dessert of all time.

It's Saturday night. I want to order a pizza from Via T, because it is GREAT! The problem: Some lazy employee has taken the phone off the hook so every time I call, the line is busy. I'm not driving down to order a pizza in person, what is this Godfather's in 1980 without the dessert pizza option? Tip: Employees, leave the phone on the hook so those of us who don't want to wait 6 hours in person can get something good to eat via phone order. Thanks.
Pros: Great scene and good food.
Cons: Phones left off the hook on the weekends.

Every item on the menu is its own gorgeous food experience. The napoleon pizza is the best in town, if not the west coast. This is the place I take my out of town guests when they come to town because the food is classic and tastes amazing, the atmosphere is cozy, urban-hip, but not pretentious at at all, and the booths offer a semi-private dining table to gather around and catch up. The staff are passionate about the food, they never rush the diners, and they know the menu inside and out. I recommend ordering the house salad, and the tirramisu along with your pizza of choice, you can't go wrong at Via Tribulani. And, if you drink wine, you'd do yourself a favor to order wine here. The selection is wonderful. Even the simple house wine is very good. Because the staff never rush you, you and your friends or romantic date can linger and enjoy your meal. The restaurant is small and there is usually a 30-60 minute wait, but the size of the place is part of its charm. I wouldn't want Via Tribulani to expand, the place is perfect and authentic just the way it is.

Ok, we were not wild about the lack of great and local acts (rock and jazz) at a local event that rhymes with 'Bumbershoot' - but a late night escapade to Via Tribunali more than made up for tired feet and boggled ears. We sent out a couple to save seats and order for us - what a delight! Fantastico. Our trailblazer commented he'd seen Anthony Bourdain finishing up a meal with a smoke in the front just a few days before. PIZZA, Pizza, pizza - Via Tribunali expresses pizza with that wonderful old flare called flavor! "WOW," I said, this is just like Karl Krogstad would cook up for his best crew, all different textures and tastie bits, and cooked in a handmade open pizza oven." "Quite right" replied our Executive CEO Administrator as she gracefully ordered more in Italian, "that is the special pizza oven, there in white, brought to Seattle for baking." She hand spooned parmesian onto my pizza and salad, as I paused to drink wine that was really honestly more like nectar than I would like to believe. Generally I don't drink, but for this meal an exception in every way I was just going with the flow. Flow it did. We finished off din-din with a white chocolate layered frozen confection that sealed this as our reward for sticking out the whole day. Our vegitarian professional musician paused from eating to comment several times his one word grace "Belissimo" and I knew he did not mean an Argentine electrotango band. Cheers! To your health!
Pros: italian food, real pizza

I cannot believe anyone would give this place 1 star!?! I've been here at least a dozen times and aside from the wait, which is due to their being so popular, the only warning I can think of is to try not to sit at the booth right below the speakers. One time we sat there and suffered through some really loud, terrible Italian pop music. The table service varies widely but the bartenders there are really great. If there are just two of you, consider sitting at the bar. That said, the best pizza I've had in Seattle - hands down. It's Italian style - thin crust, light. The salame, prosciutto and olive selection are excellent.
Pros: food, price, ambiance
Cons: wait, service varies

My wife and I went to eat here to see what all the buzz is about, we waited around for about an hour which was okay except for the rude service staff that made it seem like we were in the way...had a couple of okay drinks. during the wait. seems like this place is trying to hard to be authentic italian...when actually it comes across as a cheap knockoff. i have had much better pizze all over italy and in many us cities, who are way more authentic. On top of it the pizze maker picked his nose between making pizze in plain open view. how gross. we didn't finish and left without tipping.
Pros: hardly
Cons: nasty

Not a blip nor a blog not even a clip to snip, but it is here...Via Tribunali is atop of the hill -- Queen Anne that is! I had been to the Capital Hill long ago and just loved it but alas that Hill is just too far to trek. I moved from Belltown to Quenn Anne and have suffered in the land of the boring with no wine to speak of but now I can eat, and more importantly drink again, in my neighborhood. I came upon Queen Anne Tribunali by chance and found more than just great food but Trevor from Queen City Grill as well. I had heard he left my watering hole for the Sorrento -- boring...not to mention so terribly expensive! I gave up having him pick a wine for me ever again. As I walked my dog up Galer and saw the party at the new spot I went in to see waha was up and was told it was Via T and Trevor too! I was in Friday and pathetically Sunday too (they have only been open since Thursday) and what a joy! The best pizza, fantastic service and great wine -- what took you guys so long?!?! So the pizza is unbelievable -- try the DOC. It is fresh and cheesy and just plain great. I had a glass pour the first night and a bottle on Sunday. All the wines are Italian and not expensive, ask Trevor to help if you cannot decide. The Salame (pepperoni) is so yummy -- and I mean yummy. I had never tried dessert at he Capital Hill restaurant and I could just shoot myself now. I had a Nutella calzone and if you like Nutella, all you need to know -- Nutella baked in pizza dough and oh my god................need I go on? So if you love really perfect pizza, pretty girls, super service, great drinks and even better wine then see you at Via Tribunali on Queen Anne. It is on W Galer in a little brick building away from the regular stuff on Queen Anne Ave. Parking is easy and even better if you can walk. Queen Anne has arrived...Welcome Via Tribunali and thank you for coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: food wine service location
Cons: none!
