Relaxed local place
by ConradSE
I was in Seattle and looking for something out of the ordinary. Nothing touristy. I found Funhouse on the internet and decided to check it out. It was an easy ride from downtown on the lightrail. Walk out of the station, turn left then turn right at the street and it is right there.
We went the night the Altercation Punk Comedy Tour was there. It was awesome. What a great, intimate place to see a performance or musical act. No, its not the cleanest place in the world, but they have good cheap beer. It was around Halloween, so there were tons of decorations, with the movie Saw playing on a TV. The music playing on the juke box was more or less hard rock. The crowd was friendly and very relaxed. The night I was there I did notice a guy to girl ration of about 3:1. If you are in Seattle looking for a local place, check it out--- grab and beer and enjoy the atmosphere.
- Pros: Good cheap beer-- good selection on tap, nightly drink specials. Atomosphere is entertaining
- Cons: a little dirty, men's bathroom isn't the greatest
Best Damn Bar in Seattle
by foxymoron
It totally does smell like a urinal and the patio IS filled with weirdos- as in artists, musicians, wrestlers, rollergirls, stoners, drunks, people who live life fully and aren't concerned with looking pretty or worried about getting dirty etc. and I LOVE it. They sell SPARKS, who needs their "weak" drinks. If you came for pool that's your bad, the place is for shows and for basketball and the best patio in town. There are enough yuppie, hipster, bars with happy hours and appetizers to sit and look cool at. This is the place to actually HAVE FUN, thats why it is the Funhouse. They are very supportive of local art and music and indy sports, and maybe the sound isn't always the best or the view the greatest, but it is what it is, including cheap, and I'd be very sad without it.

Dubbed Seattle's oldest surviving punk club, various musical talents are provided at this hot spot for the punk lover.

When you first walk in, it smells like a huge urinal:( The drinks are weak, and the bartenders are usually not friendly. There is a pool table but you can't even play because the space is so small. There is an outside area to smoke, which is nice, b ut there are usually so many wierdos out ther, staying inside is better. There is usually old glasses and drinks on the tables or something, and I really dislike this place..
- Pros: outside smoking area.....
- Cons: everything
