I'm a believer!

I came to Brenda for upper arm weakness and pain and a persistent fungal infection between two of my toes. Three doctors (including a muscle and nerve specialist), a PT, and weights could't help me with the pain, and last year I'd had to take two courses of antifungual treatment for an earlier bout with the same toe infection. I didn't want to do that again. I didn't know much about acupuncture and imagined that it would probably be more useful for other types of problems. Brenda gave me four treatments over the course of about two months. By the end of the last treatment, the toe infection was gone and is still gone after more than two months. The arm pain has been steadily improving and it is now difficult for me to identify the remaining weakness.
Brenda took a holistic approach to my arm problem. She used massage as well as acupuncture methods. She found a painful knot between the shoulder near the weak arm and my neck that I had no idea about. She noticed that one of my shoulders was higher than the other and advised me against carrying my satchel on only one shoulder. No one else had noticed the asymmetry or offered such simple and practical advice. After a few weeks, the pain and weakness seemed to move around my shoulder area times and then it started to go away.
Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I was looking forward to the needles, or at least to energy flows that I expected would accompany them. I tried but couldn't feel much of the chi that was supposed to be stimulated by the treatment. The treatment still was a relaxing and even uplifting experience.

Great Acupuncturist!
by JP115
I have been a patient of Brenda since 1997 and I have only wonderful comments to make. For me, monthly acupuncture is my maintenance plan to stay healthy. With Brenda, I have been able to not only remain healthy, but also to work on some issues like gum disease and scoliosis. Brenda is amazing when it comes to knowing exactly where to treat the source so that, with time, the body finds the proper balance again. I recommend Brenda to anyone who is looking for an acupuncturist who will treat them with kindness and dignity and help them restore the balance between living and wellness.
- Pros: It's all about wellness.
- Cons: None
No Pain, all gain
by AnaKritis
Japanese acupuncture is so much better because there is NO PAIN. Brenda finds the problem and sees the system as a whole. She catches things before my doctors do or before I am really sick from her brilliant diagnosis skills. And then the treatment if completely painless (as compared to Chinese acupuncture). She even found my diabetes before the doctor or big symptoms occured. She reversed pain from an OLD injury. It is never too late to be healed gently.
I recommend her without reservations. It is worth the drive.
- Pros: eliminated pain and illness without Pain
- Cons: the drive from my home
Extraordinary Acupuncturist!

I am happy to have the opportunity to write about my acupuncture experience with Brenda Loew; I hope that my review will assist others that are searching for help with health problems.
As a patient of Brenda?s since 2002, she has helped me overcome major health issues and pain related to back surgery, hormone balancing, stress, and everything else that has come up in-between. And, most of the time the treatments are so relaxing I am able to get a "cat nap" in the process!
Brenda is truly a gifted practitioner who is highly trained and has a thorough, intuitive understanding of the human body. Brenda is a good listener and is a very compassionate person, which is always very much appreciated.
I recommend her whole-heartedly !
- Pros: Easy to find parking on the street. Warm and relaxing atmosphere. Always punctual.
