I was really excited to take my mom to Calidora for an afternoon on Mother's Day. We had 2 appointments for facials. I got a call in the am from the receptionist saying that one of the esteticians was sick. I was really bummed of course and was sort of disappointed that they didn't seem to make much effort to do anything else. Not another service/location etc..I decided to just let my mom take my appointment and when we showed up early they had scheduled her for the wrong treatment. The treatment they had her down for was going to take up to 2 hours and we didn't have that amount of time so I had to cancel that appointment too. They didn't seem to feel bad at all that our afternoon was completely messed up, and I had gotten a sitter and everything. When we were walking out, the receptionist said "do you want a free water?" I almost laughed. I emailed the director at Calidora after my experience just to give her feedback on how the front desk staff handled the situation and never heard back. Total disappointment in their customer service!

I have had several treatments at various Calidora locations and have always enjoyed my interactions with all of the professional staff. I have had good results with removing broken capillaries as well as facials. Unfortunately, the most expensive thing I've had done - a series of Titan treatments - has had a very disappointing outcome. I had 4 treatments done within the recommended time frame, about a year ago. After each treatment, I experienced skin tightening immediately, but then it would quickly diminish. I was told that the overall effect could take months to see. It never happened. My skin looks exactly the same as it did before I started the treatment. I am wary of Calidora for recommending such an expensive treatment that provided no results. And one other thing....my boyfriend went to Calidora to buy me a gift certificate for a present but wasn't sure what a reasonable value would be. The front desk person asked him my name so that she could look up the treatments that I'd had so she could recommend a reasonable amount for the gift certificate. She told him that I'd had my capillaries zapped, and that I'd had a series of treatments to tighten my sagging skin....and I had not intended that he know that information about me and I felt that was a breach of confidentiality! I was pretty alarmed when he came home and rattled off the treatments I'd received there!

My visit to Calidora was incredibly disappointing. I have had microdermabrasion in the past, coupled with microcurrent, and was very pleased with the results. I am new to Seattle, and went to Calidora for these same services. Somehow, the fact that that I had requested the microcurrent with the microdermabrasion was not passed on, so I never received this. I only received lots of various lotions applied to my skin--even before the microdermabrasion, which I feel reduced the effectiveness of the procedure. Secondly, rather than watching my skin improve over several days following the procedure, I could not even tell I had had anything done to my skin after 24 hours. Furthermore, the cost of Calidora's microdermabrasion was 40-50% higher than the more effective services I have received elsewhere. I will not return to this salon and regret that I gave them my money in the first place. I feel they got quite a nice fee, and I received a very poor service.

From my first consultation to my second facial -- I have loved every minute at Calidora! The staff is extremely helpful and nice -- something you usually do not see from posh places like this. They make me feel so welcomed there! When I first went it, the woman who went through my consultation was nice and eagar to help me! My facials from Meaghan are absolutely wonderful! She really understands my goals and wants for my face and every time is a pleasure! The extractions hurt -- like everywhere -- but the results outweigh the pain! My face is in better shape than ever -- THANK YOU MEAGHAN!! She didn't try to pressure me into buying the skin products for sale there. I have become hooked and have told my family members to go-- which they have and are now hooked as well! My only issue is that I find myself looking in the mirror too much because my skin is gorgeous!!! Thank goodness!!

Pros: Front Desk Staff is Super Sweet -- Excellent Service

Cons: A little pricey for a college student like me -- however, its worth it!

I have enjoyed the benefits of good skin services from many places in the US. Calidora has a technology that is supposed to give an in-depth diagnosis of your skin, In the end, I was told the same things as other places that diagnosed my skin with their eyes and hands, silly and hype. I guess they are good at marketing because they got my attention. I found Calidora to have an appearance of "better than", only to experience a mediocre service with my skin feeling less than alive, I paid more here and didn't feel it was justified. I will be going back to my other place in Seattle which I wont mention.... to be polite. Sorry

Pros: Nice Atmosphere inside

Cons: Horrific parking and traffic clusters

I was terrified of laser hair removal and it took me a long time(and several visits to various spas) to finally make the decision. Calidora offered me a complimentary analysis where they dedicated a whole hour to informing me about my skin and answering all my questions. I am Asian and hyperpigmentation is a risk for my skin tone(which I didn't know). They even offered me a spot treatment for FREE to make sure it was an appropriate chioice for me. Jessica is a medical practitioner and she was so nice! She answered all my questions and made the treatments very comfortable. I could tell she was focusing on my experience as well as my treatment. After 5 treatments, I am now able to slip on a strappy top any time without worrying about if I have enough time to shave. I love it!!!!! Thanks Calidora!!!

Pros: They validate valet parking during my treatment!

It's easy to miss Calidora. Situated on the second level of University Village, their door on the ground level is tasteful, understated, and closely nested between two other businesses. If you are lucky enough to find them, though, they will be some of your new best friends! Incredibly knowledgeable and proffessional, the Calidora staff takes a lot of time with new clients and walks them through the safety concerns and procedures. I should know, I am currently seeing them for a year long treatment for hair removal. At no point have I felt pressured or slighted by their staff. They have taken time to explain the process to me, have never offered false claims or "get beautiful quick" promises. Best of all, they made sure to get me the best price based on their own market list. Instead of charging me individually for things, a technician sat with me and went through the price guide to find the perfect combo for me. The result was a price less than half of what I would have paid individually, and the service was (and is) incredible.

Pros: Everything

The visit and consultation was very informative. The photo skin analysis was very interesting, you can actually see sun damage, dryness, etc. The staff was very helpful, knowledgable and accomodating. Great skincare products too!

I had a Visia skin analysis, which gave me considerable information and a specific plan of care and treatment. I had a wonderful facial and also had a treatment of Botox and Restylane-all treatments were incredible. And there was no pressure to buy products. I will continue to be a client there.

impressive staff, advanced technology and beautiful clinic. Really educational, they have a machine that measures your results with a picture of your skin when you come in.
