A few months ago, I was deciding between trying on my own to get into shape or hiring a trainer. Meeting with Dan for a consultation made me try out the training. He was very knowledgeable, matter-of-fact, and goal oriented. Definitely not one of those perky trainers that are constantly bopping up and down, much more of a normal, professional guy. I've lost about 20 lbs with training and nutritional guidelines that seem realistic. As a foodie, that was particularly important to me!

Dan has really been invested in my progress the whole time. Even while I was away for business for a month, Dan designed exercise programs for me to use on the road. While I'm working out with him, he changes up the exercises quite frequently to keep things interesting. He has a fun demeanor without being too overbearing conversationally, so if you're tired from work and just want to de-stress, he's very good about picking up your vibe.

I work out with him at the RAC, which is a great gym. Never really crowded, the equipment is new, locker rooms are clean, and it has a spacious parking lot.

All in all, I highly recommend Dan for anyone looking to work towards a fitness goal. I've tried out other trainers and really, by far, Dan's been the best. I actually enjoy going to the gym now!

  • Pros: knowledgeable, goal-oriented, helpful w/whole fitness approach, not just during training hours

Scott Rodriguez rocks! I have been training with him for awhile and I am amazed at the progress I have made. Scott keeps me challenged and motivated. He pushes me during every session. He focuses on overall health and helps you work on your goals, not the goals that someone else thinks that you should have. I am training for my first marathon now--something that I never thought I would be able to do!

  • Pros: Scott
  • Cons: small facility, very limited cardio equipment

How many of us can't wait until our next workout? Working out at the Fitness Lab with Scott Rodriguez (aka Supreme Trainer of the Universe) qualifies me for that category. Each workout offers something new given Scott's knowledge and the Lab's equipment. After a year of working out with Scott, I'm ready to tackle the Camp Pendleton Mud Run and the Danskin Triathlon. Scott has helped me lose almost 60 pounds and reduce my body fat by 10%. For me, Scott Rodriguez and the Fitness Lab are a winning combination!

I don't know where I'd be without Dillon's group fitness classes. Actually - I know exactly where I'd be - on my butt on the couch. I've been going twice a week for five months and can definitely tell a difference. Dillon changes up the workouts every class to keep things interesting and challenging, and the women who attend the classes are fun and supportive. I highly, highly recommend dropping in for a class (held M, W, F at 7 pm), whether you're looking to get into shape or to add some strength training to your workout routine.

Prior to going to Dillon, although I was working out on a regular basis, I was not able to lose unwanted pounds. Because of Dillon's excellent training, I was not only able to lose some unwanted pounds, but also completed a century bike ride and summit Kilimanjaro. Regardless of what your goals are, Dillon will create a customized training schedule for you. She is constantly changing the training schedule to meet goals and keep it fun and interesting. If you are looking for a personal trainer, this is the place to go!

Are you wishing you could get off the couch and stay off? Are you intimidated by meat market gyms? Then this is the place for you. I have been coming to The Fitness Lab for 3 years, the longest that I have ever stayed with anything exercise related and it is all thanks to Dillon and the great group that I work out with. I can honestly say that this place has changed my life and helped me develop some great new habits to replace my couch surfing ways. The space is immaculate, the training is focused and dedicated.

  • Pros: clean,great equipment,personal attention
  • Cons: parking at a premium in the area

I train with Lesley at the Fitness Lab. The gym is always very clean, organized, has great music on and is comfortable to be in. Lesley is an AWESOME trainer who listens to my goals and needs and tailors my workout perfectly. She's also a lot of fun to be around and makes the work out fly by. I would highly recommend Lesley and the Fitness Lab to everyone!

I have been training with Lesley at the Fitness Lab for the past six months. Lesley is awesome! Her attention to detail, awareness of my goals and her ability to be flexible with me is awesome. Working out isn't always the most fun thing and she makes sure to give me lots of choices in working out. The facility is nice and private, so you really get to enjoy your work outs without competing for space or equipment. Dillon, the owner is great and hosts a ton of great classes - including a rock n roll marathon training class. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

  • Pros: Lesley is AMAZING!
  • Cons: sometimes parking can be a pain on Stone Way

Certified personal trainers provide equipment for one-on-one in-house workouts and offer instruction at a Redmond or Bellevue gym.
