I have been looking for a taekwondo school for 6 years. Yi Sport Taekwondo is exactly what I wanted. It not only does the traditional training you would expect from a TKD school, but adds a whole new dimention to it that I have never experieced before. I have being doing TKD for 12 years, and for the first time I actually making improvements in areas that I could never have dreamt of. My speed, strength and endurance are better now than when I was a teenager. What this school does aside from kicking/punching is plyometrics, advanced speed and strength drills, balance, core, and flexibilty excercises. I am a woman and finally was able to lose those last stuborn 5lbs. It's a fun atmosphere, with positive support from the current members. You will not feel out of place, no matter what your level is. It's not just for kicks, this place will make you sweat! I have tried other schools in the past. I was at World Martial Arts on Mercer Island for 8 months, and I never felt I gained much or got a good workout. They concentrated too much on self dense, and not enough on moving and developing an overall balanced athletic performance. This has mostly to do with the head coach (Coach Lee) who teaches each and every class day in and day out. He pours his heart out to the students and has a deep concern for each person's developement. His coaching is methodical, and purposeful. With varying degrees of being technical to modivational. If you want to be in the best shape of your life, gain balance- strength you could not get from weights, and be an overall powerful martial artist, then come to this place you will not be disappointed. That is if you are into seeing results.

Pros: Atmosphere, cushion flooring, easy parking and access, price, kid friendly, 2 thumbs up

Cons: Small training facility, traffic accross the floating bridge on Fridays
