The best of the best! Our son began tae kwon do when he was 5 years old at another school. At the time we didn't realize the huge differences that existed between one school and another. Our first school lacked leadership, organization & focus. The kids were advanced in belts rapidly without the foundation of the fundamental skills. The school was more like a tae kwon do recreational center with expensive fees. A former coach & student later introduced us to Yi Sport, after one practice, we never returned to our old school. We were amazed at the atmosphere Yi Sport created between the students & coaches. At first it was difficult to change school for our 11 year old son, the practices were challenging & fitting in was uncomfortable. It didn't take long for our son to make friends, the school creates an atmosphere of belonging regardless of gender or ethnicity. Yi Sport school is coached by fabulous coaches whom take an interest in each individual to develop them into the best person they can be, not just the best athlete. At Yi Sport the children are exposed to training to better their physical conditioning, mental toughness, self-esteem & self-disipline. The kids our fostered to be accountable for themselves inside the gym, as well as, at home and school. We drive 45 minutes one way to take our children (now 14, 10 & 6 years old) to Yi Sport. People often think were crazy, but I respond, "our children are learning more than just tae kwon do, they are learning life skills by wonderful mentors & coaches." On a final note, if all the above wasn't enough, the school produces some of the top tae kwon do athletes around, check out their web site to see their incredible achievements. When one focuses on the whole person, great things happen! Yi Sport is that place. Thank you to all the coaches at Yi Sport, especially Coach Lee.
Pros: Best coaches/mentors around
Cons: NONE!!!
