I dined at Fin N Bone with a friend a while ago and the customer service was terrible. Our waitress completely ignored us, never refilled our water or drinks because she was busy chatting with some other customers for 20 minutes at a time. I had rice as a side dish and it looked like it had been reheated from before. The food was expensive given it was not that great and you can get a better deal somewhere else. I would definitely not recommend this for special occasions because of the lack of customer service.

Pros: Poor customer service, food not fresh.

What a big disappointment! #1: We are members of the Passport Unlimited and the Fin & Bone does NOT take that card anylonger as of June 1st. #2: The service was slow and we had to flag our server down for more beverages to which she forgot each time even after asking. #3: The appetizer (coconut prawns) were overcooked. #4: Our meals were very small portions for what we paid. #5: They didn't offer the infromation about cooking their salmon medium rare and we had to send it back. Who eats raw fish? What a BIG Birthday meal DISAPPOINTMENT! Our family will not be going back.

Pros: Clean place

Cons: Very poor service and food

I went to the Fin N Bone hoping I could get great crab cakes. What a disappointment. Out came three heavily battered lumps containing a hint of crab inside. Most of the filling seemed to be some undefined vegetables. The whole thing was tasteless. If you want real crab cakes, go to Baltimore. The clam chowder was much better -- almost as good as clam chowder from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.

Pros: clam chowder

Cons: awful crab cakes

I had lunch there today and WOW spent $30 bucks.....I just want to say that for this type of money I would much rather be eating at el gaucho. Had the filet mignon tid bits which were flavorless, a really good clam chowder for 5.95 (wow) and a raspberry lemonade.....incredible! service was good but men definetely not worth the money....

We have been to this restaurant over 40 times and have had excellent food and service on each occassion. I would postion it well above the Keg and below Canlis in food quality and dining experience. Tasteful decor. I bring business associates and friends / family here frequently to rave reviews. It is moderately expensive for the Seattle area but definitely expensive for Renton. In short, Renton is not quite ready for this Bellevue / Downtown Seattle quality of dining (and related pricing) so there is never a wait. The owners are lovely people and have really moved the level of Renton dining beyond Armondos and puts the more popular Melrose Grill to shame. If you like a restaurant that knows how to prepare seafood (i.e. not overcook it) - this is a wise choice for you.

Pros: elegantly prepared seafood, great bread & salads

Cons: It's in Renton

Stopped here instead of hitting somewhere else I was planning on. Why? Not sure, but the sign caught my eye and I pulled in. Glad I did! I eat a lot of good food at home, in town, and on the road. It's pretty hard to impress me. I can not say if every meal they serve is this good, but I can say that the meal I just had was one of my best, and on the shorter list. So if you go in and see parmesaon asiago encrusted halibut cheecks on the menu, my god get it. It is fantastic! For an appetizer I had their calimari with a lemon and garlic sauce on the side which was also very good. Nice selection of beer on tap as well that the bartender Scott did a fine job of pouring for me. Only thing that keeps me from giving a full 10 here is the lack of a very fine scotch or whiskey (hint hint <-- JW blue), but they did have my old standby, Glenfidditch, which kept me happy enough :-)

The service was warm and knowledgable including the chef coming to our table to thank us. I loved how clean tasting the seafood was. It is great to taste the light flavors that are often over seasoned of the seafood. My husbands steak was fantastic with very inventive flavors. The drinks and dessert were great. Also, looks like a nice place for large groups as they have closed off areas just for that purpose. Overall, a fantastic find in the heart of Renton!

Pros: Service, space, visual appeal

Wow, what happened to this place? We went there about 2 months ago and had a great prime rib dinner with great, crisp ceasar salads. Last night we took some friends there for dinner, and everything, except the coffee, was truly substandard. Crab cake appetizer was served unceremoniously on a small saucer, with very little crab and way too much red pepper, grilled halibut and salmon were over cooked and tastless, scallops were undercooked and tasteless. The Caesar salad, which was very good on our first visit, was dreadful and applied in huge amounts on small pieces of limp lettuce. The asparagus was terrible. Our table faced a huge window, which had no blinds, we could only see our dinner companions in silhouette, due to the bright sun background, for the entire meal. I am wondering if you lost your chef. A total waste of $190 and embarrassing for us to have taken our friends there. Not real likely to return.

DO NOT EAT HERE! The owners are fake and horrible and rude to their employees! The menu is the same as Stanley and Seaforts, you're better off going there to eat instead! Don't waste your time on this over priced dump in RENTON, go to a real restaurant in Seattle or Tacoma.

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: EVERYTHING

Went for dinner on Father's day. Had to wait 1 hour for food after ordering. The waiter did not check back with us or let us know that the kitchen was busy. No water refills, and food was cold when it finally did arrive. We will not be going back.

Cons: Very slow service
