My husband and I moved to Fife from Des Moines recently and I did some reserach into moving companies. I had a bad experience last time, and wanted to make sure I hire BETTER movers this time. When Choe and his crew arrived we were less than ready. Woops! I was a little stressed about it, but they were so kind and nice saying things like "this is normal, it's not that bad, moving is the most stressful thing next to a death in the family". This just put me at ease. The estimate came to 8 hours and after it was done it was 7.5 hours. It's obvious they have experience! :) They were litterally running at times, they were SO fast! My husband and I speculated that if we had our friends help us, we would have been there until 3am. My husband was VERY skeptical about hiring movers, because he had never done that before. He'd always have friends and family help, but our experience with Express Movers was eye-opening for him and he was VERY impressed with the efficiency of the crew. They were all very very friendly and hard-working! I have already recomended Express Movers to a hundred of my friends since we moved. It's funny, when I read all of the positive reviews here on city search, I was convinced that someone from the company had written them. But I can tell you, I'm a REAL person and these guys are fantastic! A+++

I have not yet moved, but so far my experience with Express Movers has been great. I have been price shopping and Myron came to my house and gave me an estimate. He arrived early and was extremely courteous, professional, and thorough. He came prepared with a packet of moving information. When I asked for various estimates, depending upon how much I left for the movers to pack, he was very helpful and patient. I was so impressed by how much he knew that I called the next day to reserve Express Movers for my move. This company obviously takes a lot of pride in their work.

Movers were on time & were very careful in handling in handling all the items. But, they were extremely slow & inefficient. If you plan on using these movers, get a written estimate before the move. These movers are good if you have a lot of expensive items that need extra-careful handling or special attention.

This was far and away our best moving experience, and no small thanks goes to Express Movers. There were excellent. They provided prompt, professional, quality service. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family without reservation. Please note that I think this is only the third review I have written on citysearch in over seven years of living here and the other two I only wrote because I was trying to save others the pain using a specific company. Now I am trying to save all of you the pain of using another company to move other than Express Movers. We moved from Cap Hill/First Hill to West Seattle. We actually had a good deal of stuff to move. They came over on a Friday and packed up all our stuff. Then, they showed up on time (frankly, a bit early because I told them they couldn't be late) again on Saturday and got everything moved out. We had an angry neighbor who tried to slow up the trip as much as possible, some awful weather, and some other unlucky events happen but...Myron and the guys at Express Movers made it happen. Myron was the leader of the guys and he was awesome. Everything was top notch. PROS: punctual, professional, courteous, trustworthy CONS:none PRICE:very competitive, maybe slightly higher than one or two quotes I got but the 10% off citysearch coupon made it as good or better than most. Conclusion: At least give these guys a call before you move. Even after we moved, they were still responsive after they had already been paid. They aim to please. And, the only thing of note that was broken (they broke a wine glass and coffee maker) was replaced. Toni, the owner, is also great and will make sure you are happy. From Myron to Toni to even the receptionist (forgot her name but very nice), they won't let you down. If you are moving anywhere in the great Puget Sound area, call Express Movers. Feel free to contact me if you have questions as I don't write reviews of any kind very often.
Pros: Prompt, Reliable, Professional, Corteous
Cons: None

We approached our move with more than a little apprehension. Although we were excited about our new home, we had heard nightmare stories from friends and co-workers about their experiences with moving companies. We are collectors and have quite a few pieces that needed extra special care. We were nervous to say the least. When our moving day arrived, we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised with the staff at Express Movers! They arrived on time and with smiles on their faces. They treated us and our belongings with the utmost respect and could not have been more organized and helpful. Myron, our lead guy, was so courteous and knowlegeable that our fears were soon put to rest. Not only did they treat our belongings with extreme care, I was impressed with the measures they took to protect the floors and walls of our present and new homes. It was clear that these guys were well trained and took their jobs seriously. The fact that they were uniformed, pleasant and friendly was an added bonus. We have already recommened them to friends who will soon be moving their small business and we wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for dependable, hard-working movers.
Pros: hard working, friendly, efficient
Cons: no

We were extremely let down by their lack of service. The estimator got lost, arrived late, and gave us an extremely low estimated price. On the day of the move they also arrived late because they "did not have a truck available" and took a very long time to get organized. For much of the morning the movers stood around and didn't do much work. They broke two solid wood pieces of furniture due to carelessness. The lead mover spent much of the day training other staff, while we were charged by the hour and passed off his duties to someone with little experience. We were mislead that the time to unwrap the items the movers had packed was included - thus costing us more time and more money. It was so bad that my husband had to start moving furniture into the house himself as they were going so slowly. We've moved multiple times and have never dreamed of a "professional" moving company to be so ill-prepared and poorly trained. We felt cheated, overcharged, and frustrated by the vast amounts of time wasted.
Cons: Service, speed, honesty, experience, everything really

I highly recommend this very professional, service-oriented moving company. From the beginning of our move to the end we got the feeling that they truly wanted our business and wanted happy, satisfied customers. As I watched the crew, I could tell they really took pride in their work. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful and the move was well-organized and efficient. As a bonus, they are locally owned...a fact we like to keep in mind when using companies. We will definitely use (and recommend) their services again!
Pros: Highly professional and courteous.
Cons: None

Everybody I dealt with was excellent from the lady on the phone who set up the time to the movers who did the job to the thank you letter sent afterward. Matthew, the crew lead had great organizational skills. He and his crew exceeded all expectations. In short, these guys rock. The next time someone asks me who to use for moving, the answer is easy: Express Movers.
Pros: So good moving again doesn't worry me.
Cons: can't think of any

Well I moved again and this time to Portland Or. After the last experience I called and setup an appointment with Express movers. It was a disaster. All they were doing was the load out to the rental moving truck. They were suppose to be there about 9 AM. The first guy showed up at 10:00 and it was only his 1st day on the job. Then Adrian showed up at about 11 AM. They had a no show but didn't tell me that until Adrian got on site. They only brought tape and pads but I rented the pads since this was a one way move. NO Plastic wrap NO HAND TRUCK (they had to use mine and only 1) NO dollies NO Mattress bag I was given 20% off but was told I would get 10% off anyway. On top of all this nightmare and causing me to be in both Seattle and Tacoma rush hours (2 hours to Olympia). This should have been a slam dunk with an elevator and short run to the truck. I called and asked for another $100 discount but haven't heard back. I guess since I have left the area it doesn't matter. Save yourself some grief and don't use them. Toni said she would call me back. Well it has been 11 days and no call back. I guess since I left the area they don't care.
Pros: None on this move
Cons: Charged me to much for a hung over and a rookie mover. Didn't bring anything to the move other than tape.

Our recent move with Express Movers went off without a hitch. The crew was very polite, pleasant, and fun to work with! (We appreciated that since we were so tired and stressed from trying to get packed and ready!) I was impressed at the care they took with protecting the floors and doorways. We had quite a bit of artwork and some furniture that, if we would have moved it ourselves -- probably would have fallen apart. The guys wrapped everything carefully and got it to our new place without any problems. We were very happy with their service.
