I Took my wife for her birthday a few weeks ago on a Sunday for dinner and "The Breaking" vaudeville show. The ambiance felt like something out of Puccini's La Boheme. We half expeced to see Mimi and Rodolpho seated nearby. It was fairly crowded by showtime so who knows, maybe they were? The drinks were well made and the service was fine. Our waitress was attentive suggestiing a muddled berry and champagne matrini called a Bella Ruse (I think?) that was tasty. My wife had a Margarita that was fair, commenting that she has had better. The food was good and intersesting. The Can Can salad and the buffalo lasagne are both great choices. The chicken was good but unmemorable. The show, "The Breaking", supplied with live music courtesy of "The Bad Things" was a pleasant joy and highly recommended. The place was packed with a mostly twenties crowd who came to see the enegetic dance troupe that did amazing things with the limited area they have to work with. It is the kind of place I would without hesitation take out of town visitors to experience. Overall it was an enjoyable evening, although a bit more pricy than expected. It's great to know that there are young bohemians entertaining the masses in places like The Can Can.
Pros: Ambiance, dance and live music
Cons: A bit pricy

Great Staff. We love coming here for the terrific service and treatment we receive. The bartender "Zack" is one of the best in Seattle. We really have enjoyed the shows....It makes for a wonderful time for friends visiting and showing off our great city. The dancers are beautiful. It's a wonderfully dark bar with lots of atmosphere

Came in for a friday night show. The place is amazing inside! Look like a turn of the century french speak easy. The bar is small and low giving a really unique feel. There must be more bottles behind that little bar than any place in seattle! The bartender was crazy busy but got to us really fast it was impresive I don't think I've seen a bartender that fast before. He was really nice and made us the best sazarac's. We had to stand for the show but found a nice rail to lean against and set our drinks on. The show was amazing! So dark cool. I can bearly describe what went on the stage. There was a really hot belly dancer that my wife wanted to take home with us, then there were these rad guy dancers that were doing all these flips with ropes, also there was this amazing tiny girl that was crazy flexable and super talented dancer. Also some of the show was really funny. Just all over the best experience! If u come down prepare for an awesome time and a potential hangover (there drinks were strong)
Pros: everything
Cons: crowded

Had been hearing about this place for ever. Friends of mine kept telling me about there cocktails and great selection of booze. We came in on a wednesday and the girl at the front door said there was a $5 cover for the show in an hour. Wasn't expecting that but figured we could check out the show and the bar. Zach was our bartener which i was glad to see because my friends had told me that's who i needed to see. He was very friendly and gave us cocktail lists right away. I ordered the Lethargy cause i like gin and the name was funny. It was awsome! real light but strong. My budy this crazy drink with whole egg! It tasted just like egg nog except with a lot of booze. After a couple drinks the show started. Amazing! There was rad skinny girl that could bend herself into all sorts of crazy positions, and really strong guy that was doing all kinds of flipping on ropes. All of the music was rad they even played gogo bordello! After the show Zach poured us some amazing scotch. There was so many we just had him pick. Can Can is my new favorite place.
Pros: Bartender, Boose Selection, Show
Cons: none

i received horrible service. i thought they had crappy performers. they wouldn't know cabaret if it slapped them in the face. the owner is a snob.

I came down on friday recently to see the new show. I had heard some great things about the new show. I came in early but there were no tables available so i found a seat at the bar with a good view of the stage. The bartender was really friendly and helpful. I asked him to make me a great gin drink and he did (I forgot the name). He recomended some dishes he liked. I got the fillet which was great but slightly over cooked. The bar started to get really busy but the bartender did a great job of keeping my drinkful. The show started a little late but i was in no hurry it was fun in there. The show was Amazing! I have never seen any thing like it before. Really dark Evil feeling but in cool way. The music rad. I asked for a sound track after but no luck. anyway incredible night! I'll be back for the show or for the bar.
Pros: Bartender and show

Back again on a sunday to see Zack are new favorite bartender! Came in when they opened for happy hour with my best friend. Zack remembered me with out my saying anything even though it had probably been a month or so since my first visit! He even remembered what I had been drinking on my first visit! He right away let us know about there terrific happy hour. I ordered his special bloody mary amazing! Best in town for sure. we ended up trying most of the cocktails. Everything was way above the par of most cocktails in this city. but more than anything Zack was so pleasent. Then we decided to stay for the show. Outstanding! I've never seen that kind of dance before. I thought it was supposed to be just dancing girls. The guys were awesome! Going to keep coming back on Sundays!
Pros: Bar, Bartender, Atmosphere
Cons: none

I brought my girls there for my birthday yesterday, and had a blast. It was all of our first times. The crowd made our drinks and food come out a little slower than we had expected, and made it a little stuffy being that there was no real good ventilation in the downstairs level of the building. But overall, the crowd just added to the excitement during the shows when acrobatic tricks were happening or burlesque ladies were dancing. Everybody was laughing and cheering on the acts. My macaroni with beef filet was delicious, and our server was very accomodating and nice. Enjoyed it alot!

Went in with my girlfriend last night. Some friends had told us about the shows that happen there. It blew our minds. I can't believe it was only 10 bucks to get in there. The place was crowded and there was nowhere to sit. It took a while to get to the bar for drinks but after we finally made it up there our drinks were made quickly. The bartender was slammed but still managed to make our Manhattans perfectly. He put dark cherries in them instead of marichinos which was a nice change. It took a little squeezing and elbowing but we managed to find a great place to stand and watch the show next to the sound guy. We have never seen anything close to what we saw last night anywhere, ever. The variety of acts was great, the costumes were amazing and the dancing was phenomenal! We were a little bumbed about not being able to sit at first, but once the show started we had no problem standing at all. We wish we would have known about the Can Can sooner! We are excited to go again and we already made reservations for next week so we can sit down this time!
Pros: great entertainment
Cons: get a reservation so you can sit down! it's super crowded!

Last night a group of friends and I went to the Can Can to watch the new show Kabaret Verboten. Let me just say the performances were amazing! We have been to a couple other shows at Can Can and this was by far the best experience we've ever had there. We showed up at 8pm to get some dinner and some drinks and celebrate my friend's birthday. Our waiter Patrick was the nicest (and cutest!) server EVER!!! We wanted to "Pat" his little booty all night. We didn't know what to drink so he recommended this drink called, a corpse... something. It didn't matter we would have drank anything the cute cute CUTE waiter gave us. The Corpse drinks were so good we ended up drinking them all night. We will definitely be back again for more Patrick!!! Highly highly highly recommend the new Verboten show! All the dancers are so fit and gorgeous! Why isn't Patrick on the stage? We want to see some skin!!!
Pros: Amazing cabaret / great food&drinks / Hot waiters
Cons: A little crowded
