The roof workers used the wrong size nails. Now I have nails sticking out from my roof, and the wood is peeling. Absolutely disgusting job, all for which I payed $10,000. The roof on my house was leaking after it was replaced and there was damage on the drywall. I have yellow spots now in my living room because of this. The garage, which I didn't sign a contract to have it re-roofed, is leaking also. Stupidity all over the place. DO NOT even bother contacting this company for an estimate on your home improvement. They will leave your home in a horrible condition. HORRIBLE COMPANY, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Pros: None.

Cons: Service, workers, customer service.

We researched a couple of other companies and decided to give the job to Seattle's Best Home Improvements. We feel they did a great job with customer service from day one. They kept us very informed on the status of the project and completed the job in a timely manner. We had some rotted wood that had to be replaced durring the job and we appreciated that they replaced it for free. We would recommed this company to anyone who is in need of siding replacement. I was also amazed that they were able to get our entire house done in one week with 3 guys.

Pros: Customer service

Cons: Its expensive to replace siding

I had a great experience with SBHI in terms of their salesperson. She was very personable and knew her stuff when it came to siding, etc. I decided to have them work my roof and siding and the roof was a nightmare! The installers were nice enough, but the company ordered the wrong color and only wanted to give me a miniscule amount of money back for a job that was several thousand dollars on its own. As far as the experience with the siding, the installers were fantastic (but that says something about them). They did great quality work and I'm pleased with the look. The office staff does pester you on signing off the jobs and the manager of the account had some interaction with me that was less than pleasant. Overall, I would recommend the siding guys, but I have their card and would just pass their information along myself. I would not do more work with SBHI, as it was somewhat expensive and I'm still waiting on a reimbursement check for the error in the first job.

Pros: Great contractors, great salespeople

Cons: Mistakes on the materials and less than friendly office staff

How do I sum up my experiance with John Holum's company "Seattle's Best Home Improvement?" They couldn't have screwed it up any worse. We contracted them to reside our home. They sold us on the supposed expertise, workmanship and customer service. We were so excited to put a new look on our dream home. After a botched job, threats, a legal battle and a lot of cash later, we get to tear it all off and reside again; this time with a company that has a clue of how to do good work. Why is it we get to do it again, you ask? because we won our arbitration against them and they had to give us a 100% refund. Hire them and you'll regret it!

Pros: NONE

Cons: They Have no sense of quality

Seatle's Best did a wonderful job on my home. My windows and siding couldn't have been coordinated any better!! Thanks to the office staff, I was educated quite clearly on how my installation was going to go. They sent me out a very detailed customer service packet along with my warranty info. The ladies walked me thru the process til our job was complete. She even gave me her personal cell phone number due to the install was going to go thru the weekend! The installers were very polite in their work ethics and clean up. My husband and I could not be any happier and we are even thinking about doing a roof in the spring!!!Thanks so much Seattle's Best!!!

I was very naive to the process of getting a new roof. I called and made a appointment and they were so friendly and put me at ease. the salesguy that came out was very knowledgable and patient with me, as i had a million and one questions to ask. The contract got signed on a Wednesday and the very next day a office staff called to greet me and once again let me know that the ball was rolling. Can you believe they were able to get me roof scheduled and installed within a week and a half?! I am so pleased with them and I would recommend anyone to them.

Pros: efficient, reliable, knowledgable

We just had our siding replaced by them and would definately recommend them to anyone. They did a great job and cleaned up around our home well. I was also surprised as the owner of the company called us when the job was completed to make sure we were happy with the installation. I am also sending you guys a referral in the mail for the good work so hope I get my $200.00 check.

I agree with first review. Salesman was great, very excellent service. he really knew what he was doing. As far as the office goes, HORRIBLE customer service. It was the hardest thing to coordinate time with them. They act like we didn't have a job or something ourselves. Took them forever to come put our windows in and when they did, they brought some srong size windows and doors so we had to reschedule to put those in. Never did we receive calls to coordinate schedule. We only received calls two days prior to when they were going to come out. We were very unsatisfied with the work and quality of material. The bank they had us finance through told us they won't pay until we were satisfied so the office constantly called us to approve payment. Once it got approved, we never heard back from them like they said they were going to follow up on. We had to continually call them to get our materials replaced (screen door that had tears in them). They just dropped the screen at our front door, didn't even bother to re-install. One of our sliding doors now don't look again and the caulking around our windows has air bubbles in them. unfortunately, I had to call them again today. We'll see how long it takes them to come out and fix it this time. PLEASE don't go through this company. Terrible office staff, workmanship, everything.

In the beginning, SBHI was great; very nice sales people. Once the job started, everything changed. I had high expectations for the windows, door and roof job that were not even close to being met. Do yourself a favor and deal directly with contractors and not overpriced "middlemen" companies like Seattles Best. I should have known that the company was questionable when I realized that they operate out of Fife; "Seattle's Best"? What gives? They should change the name to "Fife's Mediocre Home Improvement".

Cons: conmen, poor quality, middleman company

They still called wanting me to make a 5th appoinment, but wouldn't do it if both me and my wife where not there. After leaving me in the wind for the past 4 times I had to tell them where to go. I have worked for 8 years in construction and this type of thing is never aloud. I will not work with them ever.
