Unprofessional, Unethical, Waste of Money
by LilBrowniebear at Citysearch
They have the works therapist they don't know how to give a massage or listen to what you want worked on.
Then they have had numerous billing errors on my membership. I have to call them every month due to overcharges, unauthorized freezes, schedule mixup..something. I wish I never signed up for a membership. The first couple visits a few years ago were great, now they are the worst
- Pros: none
- Cons: billing errors, rookie therapists, no customer service
Complete waste of money
by sdfam at Citysearch
I went to Massage Envy after hearing about their special for first-time clients. This turned out to be a totally frustrating experience - I left feeling more irritated at the wasted time and money. I had clearly explained to my therapist about my problem area and we agreed that she would spent most or all time on working on it. I felt that she barely did anything for teh whole hour- I could not feel what she was working on and there was zero energy. Needless to say after a while I stopped hoping she would actually start doing a massage!
Stay away! Any place should be better than this (at least everything I've tried in the area beats this horrible experience).
- Pros: None
- Cons: Service
Falling Apart
by fishspeaker at Citysearch
Once apon a time this place was great. A good pool of quality therapists, a good atmosphere, and a proffesional setting. Now, all of the massage therapists are jaded and about to quite. Both water fountains are busted with hiqh quality leak damage. BOTH bathroom hallways have no light. The quite room is always dirty. The atmoshpere, well, it stinks. The front desk staff is never the same and no one knows what the hell is going on. My schedule is always screwed up and I peridocally get a confirmation call. The managements response to my complaints? None. There hasn't been a manager on site for quite some time. My last massage ( a comp because they messed up my schedule ) sucked! My wife and I started going the New Castle location. This definatly saved our memberships! All members, stay away from Bellevue's miss managed Massage Envy and find one that still wants to stay in business!
- Pros: Michelle D. and Francisco give a fantastic massage
- Cons: read my review
Why?
by SandyCallender at Citysearch
Go to someplace that has a high turnover rate, uses new graduates, will hire anybody willing to work cheap and will wash windows, floors or water plants.
Go to a real therapist!
Seattle area has many massage schools but only 3 really quality schools, find a therapist that went to Brennke, Brian Uttings or Soma Institute.
Settle for less and you will waste your time and money and possibly even be worse after treatment.
You get what you pay for.
Go to yahoo search and enter massage bellevue, read the review and find a 5 star rating. You are worthy of and deserve the best care available!
Sincerely
Sandy RYT
- Pros: probably better than an unlicensed therapist?
- Cons: Too many to list
Stay away.

Pay a little more and go to InSpa, a health club, or a spa. Take a look at reviews and you'll see that these are probably posted by Massage Envy themselves, as all of the "reviewers" have no other posts. I went and was very dissatisfied with my experience. I then looked at the reviews here and saw what was up.
Stay away. I hate companies that try to use these rating systems to their benefit.
- Pros: Price
- Cons: Lack of Knowledge
NIGHTMARE
by mangoclover at Citysearch
The service there is spotty and they still expect a $12-18 tip when the massage is only $49. The therapist was late and didn't give me the full 50 minutes service. Also my friend had an experience there with a therapist that was unprofessional with the draping and touching. The clinic charged me double for a month (their mistake) and still hasn't refunded me the money since November. It's been a nightmare with them.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Everything else
Not Very professional, but cheap
by gothic_girl8 at Citysearch
I don't know why I keep coming back to this place. I think because they're the cheapest place around. But it really shows. The therapists talk with the receptionists all the time while they're not working. The conversation I heard was very unprofessional. I looked over at them a few times to see if they'd know not to talk like this infront of a client but they gave me dirty looks.
- Pros: A decent massage, clean, hygenic
- Cons: snooty staff, not a relaxing waiting room
Wonderful experience
by tdybr at Citysearch
I have been to a few Massage Envy locations before and didn't have the experience that I was looking for. The therapist either talked too much, or it was noisy, or the massage wasn't up to par (too light or not what I wanted). This location is really professional and makes for an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The front desk is always friendly and smiling, the lobby is always tidy (love the quiet room), and my therapist Lauren is Fantastic!!! I highly recommend her as well as Fransisco. I love the late hours as I work late and I can fit in a massage after. Most places are closed by the time I am off. The price is great, the hours are convenient, and the therapists are highly skilled. Awesome!!!
- Pros: Ambience, Hours, Skilled Therapists
- Cons: Noisy fans, need to get AC

I get an hour and a half massage every week

J is an excellent massage therapist. I get an hour and a half massage every week from her and it helps keep me in fit condition at 82.
