Must Stop Shop

by living206

This awesome little place is in the heart of downtown, next to Nordstrom. Super hip and current. Whenever I want to steal a pair of jeans from Hollywood, chances are I can find them there. This store really changed my wardrobe, and comfort level with the trends and how they can work for me.

  • Pros: easy access, and always new stuff!
  • Cons: Theres only one of them!

Such an awesome store!!!

by meaganm

What can I say this cute, chic store has big city style! Love the selection here much more than stores like Mercer and Nordstroms. The service is always warm, friendly and honest when it comes to what looks best on my bod. They are like my own personal stylist and how great is that? I mostly shop the Seattle store but have gone to Bellevue Square and loved the diversity in both.

Also great deals on Sway and cake . com. I like it because I can shop it on my new iphone while I am waiting at the airport. I travel alot.

Girls check it out!!

Overpriced clothes with bad customer service

by cynthiafreedman

Yea, I would have to agree with some of the readers that although this place was really hyped up a few years ago, it has seen its better days. I've been in a few times after hearing how trendy or whatever Sway and Cake was. I have to say that I've been pretty disappointed by their blah selection of clothes. If I want to buy a pair of designer jeans, I'd rather go to Nordstrom where the customer service is much better and the girls are less full of themselves. Also, why is everything so overpriced??

  • Pros: Good designers
  • Cons: Unprofessional staff, overpriced, clothes are not that great

Boring

by jenava

This place doesn't have much selection. I always go in with such hope, only to be disappointed once I get down to actually browsing the racks! I will agree with another reviewer that the customer service is pretty unprofessional. I think if I were in my late teens or early twenties and had a bunch of money I'd probably think this place was cool. Everyone else is probably better off looking elsewhere.

  • Pros: Nice selection of designers
  • Cons: Poor selection of choices from said designers

Still standing strong

by happyseattle

I have to say I feel really bad for Sway and Cake lately. Talk about the underdog!! When I first moved to Seattle, I was so depressed amd I stumbled upon the store. I walked in wearing probably the worst outfit imaginable, and they were so nice to me. I couldn't afford hardly anything in there, but they didn't care. I hungout in there chatting and talking with the girls for well over an hour. I only left with a pair of jeans but it didn't matter. I go back all of the time and rarely buy anything, beacuse I can't always afford alot. I also work on a retail clerk salary, so I know what it's like to not be made of money, but I assure you, they have never been anything but completely nice to me, and I've never seen anyone treated any differently. I feel bad for the people who go into stores with a chip on thier shoulder, thinking the staff is going to be so rude to them, when in reality it ends up being the other way around. It is also sad when people think because they see something in Nordstrom Saavy they think it originated there, but they rarely notice that Sway and Cake had the exact same line a year ago, and Nordstrom simply had to scope it out there.

Fabulous Addition

by helenk25

I've been a long time fan of the underdog. Sway and Cake and other fashionable boutiques like it are definately the underdogs in this world of HUGE department stores and giant McRetail chains. I've always enjoyed my experiences in the downtown store and they recently opened a new location in bellevue square. The bellevue store is much smaller and more intimate feeling, almost like you are walking into you're celebrity best friends closet. The clothes are gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and I love the fact that a Boutique is now located in the mall. Its almost as if your not in a mall once you walk into the bellevue Sway. I love it, I love it, I love it ! ! ! I receive the most compliments when I am wearing the delicious clothes that I've purchased from there and I always love telling where I got it. But I know that I wont see everyone that I've told about the store wearing the same thing as me because they are always getting in Fabulous new stuff, and in limited quantities. If it's not in my size it wasn't meant for me, and the same goes for you. :) If you want to look great and have a fun time doing it shop at Sway and Cake.

  • Pros: Great Designers, Trend setting looks, Fashionable and Friendly sales staff
  • Cons: I can't afford to buy everything in the store everytime.
