Wow! I went to a party here several weeks ago and it was awesome! I didn't even know this place was here, but I guess they've been open for a year or so. They have a good selection of tasty microbrews made right there in house. I liked the Pale Ale, but the heffeweis was also pretty good. Their food offerings were unexpectedly good, with the ribs and calamari being the standouts in my opinion. Except for our group, there weren't that many other people, which is weird because I would think this place would be busier. Our cocktail waitress was perky, and the service was decent. The only downside was the parking--very limited--and the construction going on around there didn't help. The VIP room we were in was cool-- comfy couches and a private patio although we spilled out onto the main floor and got a couple more tables. I'm definitely going to be back.
Pros: beer, nice tables, great view of the lake
Cons: parking

We just hosted a party for 65+ people at Stix. It was a huge success! All of the staff was amazing & very flexible. Joel & Beth especially offered standout service. The venue itself is a contemporary, yet relaxed atmosphere & the private Gold Room was the perfect addition to our party space. We were even able to view our slideshow on their large flat screen in the Gold Room, that was cool. The only so-so part of the evening was the food we chose for the appetizers; quesadillas (too fishy), crab cakes (too bready). Chris suggested the short rips, but unfortunately I didn't follow his suggestion. Everybody else seemed pleased w/the food though & lots of compliments on the ahi crustinis. We researched a lot of other venues, including The Parlor & The Garage. By far, Stix was the easiest to work with & had the most reasonable prices (although the low end liquor for well drinks could have been part of the reason :). We couldn't be happier with how the event turned out! I'd definitely recommend Stix for a party or just to hang out, eat some food & shoot some pool. Great location overlooking Lake Union, the marinas & views of the space needle too.
Pros: Good views, cool atmosphere. The Gold Room is great for private parties.
Cons: Seemed like there was an "unsavory" crowd in the bar late in the night...Could have just been that night though.

I was visiting Seattle with some friends, looking for something to do. I got lucky and found this place. From the moment you walk in you're struck with the combination of smooth and fun atmosphere. The food is awesome, the people are fun and the beer is terrific. Get there early, and grab one of the corner tables with the ridiculously comfortable furniture to hang out in between shots. It is really a cool take!

I've been into the Lake Union scene for awhile now ( I live close, so you know), but have grown tired of my usual rotation of bars. I was very uplifted to come across Stix on my route from Joey's to Blu Water. A warm glowing atmosphere and the obvious view of downtown Seattle was the first to grab my attention. It's smaller than other billiard halls I've been to but cosy never the less. I was warmly greeted and imediately felt comfortable, safe and important (which is hard to find sometimes). The food and drinks were good (I timed it right too, great happy hour) but the best part was their beer. Right inside the building is their very own microbrewery (it's like if you were an avid coffee drinker you would import a columbian, right?), and they are all uniquely tasty. I am now a "regular" and don't mind the lable at all. Whether you're on a date, out with friends or looking for some alone time check out Stix.
Pros: very friendly staff
Cons: parking

I met some friends at stix on a saturday. They requested an ID to receive pool equipment, as is required at many places. My friend left his ID with them. When we went to leave, the bartender could not find his ID. His response was " Sorry it's not here" When I started to try and explain the signifigance to the situation I was told that I was not helping. I did not seem to get the impression that they cared about the fact that they opened up someone to the threat of Identity theft. My freind had to get a new Drivers License, and the bar will not return his calls or emails. Aside from the above situation, The waitress was hot, but not too bright. I had the Philly sandwich, the steak had the texture of leather, and the fries tasted like frozen fries from QFC. I sure am glad I paid $11 for an overcooked sandwich. I also received a parking ticket that night. I take the blame for this, but be carefull where you park. There is a pay lot accross the street, that is not well marked from the south. If you enter from north the signs are easy to see.
Pros: Nice new pool tables, and stix
Cons: Parking, staff, food

It was a sunday night, not the peak day of the week... But anyway - drinks were generous, pool rates were better than in Bellevue, big TVs are a plus. Food was prepared well, but if you are looking to have a dinner, you need to go somewhere else. Appetizers are good, but they are only appetizers! Service was fast and friendly! Will go there again.

This bar has everything, a chill atmosphere, awesome pool tables, great happy hour, wonderful food, a kick butt VIP room with your own private deck with a view of the lake and the space needle. A perfect place for work parties or just hanging out with friends. Sundays it's filled with people watching football on the big screen tvs while getting a game or two of pool in. There are couches for lounging around if you don't feel like sitting at a table. Seriously this place has every aspect of a bar life. Plus it's a little nicer than normal pool halls so you feel a bit classier and it's definately a great place to bring clients after work. Usually I just go sit at the bar and enjoy a drink and checkout the friendly and good looking bartenders.
Pros: The Staff
Cons: Guys always trying to buy you drinks....this really isn't a con though! :)
