Jami has been cutting my hair for a few years now...and every time I go in to Tart, I come out looking awesome. The salon is light, airy, clean, and I've never waited to be seen more than 5 or 10 minutes. I love Jami and all the other gals at Tart!

Pros: Ambience, skill, cleanliness, fun atmosphere

A hidden treasure! Sneak away from the crazy world for some very special treatment. Elizabeth is always in tune to what I want, whether it's a big change or something subtle - and she'll always talk to you about it before the scissors, or hair dye, start flying! I've tried many local uber-trendy salons, and have been unhappy about something - the cost, snobby hairstylists, having an unrealistic cut or color for my lifestyle. At Tart not only do I get a great (and affordable!!!!) cut and color, but everyone is down to earth and super nice. Try them - you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Pros: Great atmosphere, service, products, and stylists.

Cons: Boring (shared) restroom...

I have gone to many hair stylists over the years and Elizabeth is the ONLY one to ever make me leave the salon feeling absolutely beautiful. I never really know what I want done, but somehow she manages to give me exactly what I want. She is by far my favorite and I'm so happy I finally found her!

TRACY IS THE BEST HAIR STYLIST I HAVE EVER HAD. I HAVE HAD MY HAIR DONE MY MANY STYLIST, BUT NO ONE EVER DOES AS GOOD A JOB AS TRACY. EVEN WHEN I GO SHORTER, MY BOYFRIEND LOVES THE WAY MY LOOKS WHEN I COME HOME FROM SEEING TRACY AND HE IS MY BIGGEST CRITIC.

Ive gone to Elizabeth many times and everytime she does an amazing job. She knows exactly what to do, and it always comes out looking great. She is the best hair stylist ever. Seriously. If you need a new haircut, go to tart, which is the cutest, nicest salon ever, and get an appointment with ELIZABETH. Because she will make you look amazing.

I have seen Jill for a few years now and I thought I would post a review because she is so amazing!!! She always has innovative ideas and I never get bored with the same basic haircut. She knows exactly what will work with my hair and my lifestyle. She is honest about what will look best with my hair type and what will look best on me. I couldn't be happier and I intend on being a long time client. Recently I had a thermal relaxer and I was nervous. Jill did an amazing job and eased my nerves because she explained every step. It was obvious she has had extensive training. I'm so happy with my new found straight hair. Its expensive but worth the results. If you have ever had thoughts of having this done go to Jill. She knows her stuff!!!

Pros: EVERYTHING!!

Cons: NONE!!

Tart Salon has a great environment, I followed Tracy there from her old salon and I love it! I would never let anybody touch my hair besides Tracy. I work retail and get complemented daily on my hair! I am very picky about my hair and careful of who I let touch it, I like to change styles a lot and Tracy is great at helping me come up with new ORIGIONAL cuts and colors!

Pros: Ambience, parking, service, Everything is a plus!!!

I've gone to Tart several times to visit Elizabeth and she always does a wonderful job. Whether I'm unsure of what I want or know exactly what I want, she always does an excellent job cutting and coloring my hair. It looks good straight and curly and I'm always getting compliments on it. The salon itself is very cute and clean and has a very friendly atmosphere. I also love the rotating art work.

For the past few years I have been unable to find that "it" sylist, but I have most definitly found her in Jill. I have been thrilled with all my hair cuts but I recently went for something new (a mullet, Jill called it a modified mullet) and she did an amazing job. She always keeps in mind that my hair has curl to it, so she makes sure my styles work both straight or curly. I highly recommend Jill.

...my new favorite place in Ballard is Tart!! I visited Tart for the first time on Saturday to have my hair and makeup done for a photo session with a group of girlfriends and I *LOVED* everything about it - the staff, the space, the prices, and most of all, the results!! (And Rocko the Pug...). The ladies of Tart are everything you've read on here and more. They were sweet, patient (we were a rowdy crowd), talented, and tons of fun. I will definitely be going back to Tart!
