I went to eat there for an afternoon lunch with my friend. The inside is really nice, this is a good place to have a group get together. I got seated in the booths its very comfortable! The waiters were pretty attentive, around noonish the carts start to slow down, I would suggest to get as much as you can earlier because there will most likely be a wait because it is crowded during dimsum hour. Great food and tea and service. I would go back again.
Pros: Good food and service
Cons: PARKING you have to find street parking

I have gone here with large parties on several occasions and had a wonderful time. The dining area is very large but still warm and friendly. Service has been great everytime as well. Although, I have a lot of compassion for our hospitality workers so I may overlook some of the minor flaws. The food is always wonderful, the drinks are put together well and served by a smiling staff. Highly recommend this place for friends and families.

The customer service is horrible! I work with the public and if I were to treat my clients the same way I wouldn't have any. I went there for an event and the hostess basically played dumb and had no information me. The bartender was extremely rude and would have rather chat with his buddy than make drinks and the coat check man threatened to not give our coats back because we didn't have a ticket which he didn't give us in the first place. Now why would anyone ever go to a place that obviously doesnt think they need your business.

If I had to rate my discontent with this establishment, O'Asian would receive a perfect rating. I am oddly surprised at the amount of bad reviews with emphasis being on service, though I shouldn't be. At first glance, expectations are high. Having being surrounded by the chaos of Seattle the restaurant manages to tuck itself away and hide from the rest of the world to create a calming ambiance. Looks are indisputably deceiving. My first experience will be my last and I will continue to encourage people to spend their money elsewhere. The staff is the eptiome of incompetence and was not at the least helpful or mindful toward their customers. The bartenders are apparently unaware how to train their new employess how to charge properly, address concerns, or ask for assistance when needed. Our waitress, Heather, will be brought up in conversation time and again as the worst thing to be associated with customer service. She was unattentive, rude, and constantly disappearing for most of the night. I especially enjoyed my birthday dinner as Heather made it her sole purpose to imply that my party was a nuisance to her. "You're ****ing killing me," was her response when we asked for our check to be split. To our dismay, after her unsavoring display she still was under the impression that she deserved a tip. Classy. We, as consumers, should be paid to eat there.

We decided to try O'Asian for dim sum on a Sunday afternoon. After looking at their online menu and enticed by the free parking, we were off! The location is easy to find and the elevator is quick to take you up to the restaurant. There weren't many people waiting and a fair amount of people already seated. We were seated promptly and tea and water soon followed. The carts were well stocked with all the popular dim sum items like baked hom bow, which seems to run out fast at the other dim sum restaurants. The waitstaff is very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for anything. I recommend this place over any place in Chinatown. It is unrushed and less conjested than other places in chinatown. The food is freshly served and there is something for everyone!
Pros: free parking on the weekends
Cons: little dark (lighting) for the day time

I am so disappointed that I went to O'Asian for my birthday party on 4/5/08. I called weeks in advance for my reservation. Not only was the service horrific, but they messed up on the orders, didn't have any menus for the first 25 minutes we were there. And they weren't busy! They had no Sake (for an Asian restaurant, that's ridiculous). One waitress spilled half a pitcher of water on my girlfriends lap and asked her if she wanted a napkin... way after the spill. To top the night off...I broke out in hives on my own bday b/c their food has MSG! This by far was the WORST birthday/experience/service ever!!!! The waitress was sweet, but she messed up on the orders. I was so embarrassed to even recommend the place! Half of my party was upset by the service and we're shocked that I picked such a place. I will NEVER Go Back!!!!
Pros: Great Decor, nice set up
Cons: Horrible Service/Food is okay, has MSG

it is interesting to see that other's have written about O'Asian's lousy service - unfortunately for me I wasn't even there long enough to try the food. we arrived very hungry, early on a saturday afternoon to take advantage of the happy hour menu. unfortunately, the bartender was in no hurry to help. in fact, we never actually saw him until I tried to find a menu for myself. at this point he was rude enough to override my hunger and curiosity - we left. not sure its worth it.

Great atmosphere and decore. I did love the food and not too pricey -- the portions are ideal for sharing in large groups of two/three +. But because the service was so horrible I give it 2 stars (I want to give 2.5)! I was in a party of 20 and we were practically the only ones there, but the waiter was scarce: people had to get up to serve their own water, we had to go to the bar to get our own drinks, and we had people running up to the kitchen and asking for service twice!!! Finaly a waitress that had been assigned to a small party in the corner had to come to help out! We did get free soup, but we take off the party gratuity/tip 'cause of the lack of sevice. One young server gave us something we didn't order and insisted it was ours!!!
Pros: Great decor, ambiance, price, food
Cons: Bad service

It was not the kind of service that you would expect at a higher end restaurant. The food was extravagantly overpriced, though it came out quick and fashionable, if would had spent 5 more minutes making the presentation it would have made it 10 times better. Our food runner slopped the food down on the table, after just announcing what the food was, with blatant disregard for who “Actually ordered the food “. The décor was well placed, and the seating was ample, until about 9:45 they rudely removed the bar seating for the patrons who were seated at the bar, to make more room for the expected patrons that were beginning to lining up just inside the front door . Until that point atmosphere and mood was quite nice, the lighting was not harsh, the soft background music blended quite well it the chatter of dinner conversation; however the cliental was mostly upper middle class bar-goers, around this time they began setup of the “discothèque”, and the lights began to flash, and I was blinded by the lighting, due to my seating placement. The check came, we paid in cash, and our server asked us if we need change back, we told her “no”. She still brought back change, and was counting it out. The feel and atmosphere changed dramatically from nice formal and relaxed nihilistic dining to “discothèque” seemed the most approachable time to take our leave of absence. **Side note: the MENU and WEBSITE CLEARLY has printed prices and times, the “happy hour” menu is 4pm until CLOSE. Since we were already closed out, we ordered one final beer from the bar, it was DOUBLE the price. When our server finally came back around, we asked about what the close time was then rudely stated that “It must be your first time here! It is industry standard the “close” time is 10pm!” Having reviewed over 20 bars and restaurants in Seattle, I have never ever heard of that! Over all below average, you can get better food and better service if you go the mom and pop teriyaki shop.
Cons: no parking
