Bad food with high price
by hatebadfoodwithhighprice
O'Asian SUCK!!!! And will suck your money out from your wallet. Food is over price and poor quality of services. Went there to celebrate a birthday with party of 10. Ordered the 10 course meal, 14 shots of Patron, 1 Jack Daniels, 1 Mack and Ja...ck, 3 sippy drinks call pomagranate splash and a pot of tea that came with only 4 cups. Total bill came a whopping $609 (that's right!!not a typo). Food minus the alcohol of $175 and guess how much per person??? I can feed 20 people with better food and better services else where. Did I mention one of our person didn't show up, so we were actually a party of 9. It's a low class place trying to become high end restaurant by charging high price for bad tast food served with paper napkins, cheap thin metal forks on a cloth-less sticky wood table.
Great Happy Hour, Free Parking
by jooz
Went here for some pu pu's and drinks at happy hour. Really enjoyed the soju drink I had, and tried a mojito that was tasty. Food was decently priced for happy hour downtown, and the place is huge.
- Pros: Awesome happy hour spot, cheap drinks cool downtown spot
- Cons: none
Not a customer service establishment!
by omgomgomg
The service is crazy SLOW and BAD! A friend and I went to have dinner New Year's Eve and found the restaurant had a fixed price dinner for $65 per PERSON! Too Much Food and $$$ for us, so we chose the bar for Happy Hour. It was only 5:45PM and there were only five other customers in the bar. After sitting down, our waitress came by with bar menus and reminded us that we only had antil 7PM for Happy Hour prices. We immediatley ordered a cocktail and a soda. Five minutes later our waitress brings us ice water (huh?). Another ten minutes go by while we watch our waitress fold napkins and the bartender chat-up a couple of guys at the bar. Apparently our drinks were being flown in from China. With no drinks in sight and our wait already too long... we left. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.
- Pros: ambience
- Cons: ambience ruined by service staff
Amazing Dessert at a surprising location???
by gman3
I work at the BOA building and last week I needed a cake for a surprised birthday party. I remember a friend told me that O'Asian downstairs started serving dessert. So, I gave it a try. Sure enough they have a few already made cakes to choose from. I picked Hazelnut chocolate mosse cake and all my friends totally love it
- Pros: great dessert, fast service
- Cons: can have more selections
Worst Food I Have Had In Years
by epicdraws
I am new to the Seattle area and in the mood for some Asian cuisine. Yelp ratings show this place as pretty dismal but CitySearch had several good reviews, so we gave it a try. This is a Friday night of a holiday weekend, so I was worried it might be hard to get a table. We found parking easily and walked up to what was a pretty classy place.
First thing we noticed was that the place was essentially empty--we thought we had come after they closed. We were seated next to the only other people in the place out of the 40+ tables they had. We ordered the lettuce wrap, General Taos chicken, Mongolian beef and the Chow Mein. All pretty standard dishes that even Panda Express would have a hard time getting wrong.
The lettuce wrap tipped us off to what we were in for. It was incredibly bland and even drenched in sauce didnt have much taste, but they didnt give us enough sauce anyways so the last two had none at all. Awful. Quickly after that came out came the chicken. It looked appealing on a bed of broccoli, but ended up incredibly bland. It was clearly cooked long ago and reheated which led it to be mushy. The broccoli was cold as well. Quickly after this disaster was placed in front of us came the Mongolian beef. This was the only item that tasted semi-decent, but I am not sure if that was just after having such awful other food. It was spicy as well which may have been masking things. At least we finished more than half of this plate.
This is when the chow mein came out, which caused me to start laughing. With no exaggeration at all, the chow mein had the texture of UNCOOKED Top Ramen. I asked her if it was some sort of joke as it was completely inedible, but she said to mix the sauce in to soften it. It wasnt even worth sending back, as I wasnt interested in getting another plate of it. We ended up taking it all home, and throwing away the chow mein immediately.
This place was a total waste of money and the worst meal in years and I will never return.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Devastatingly awful food, inedible chow mein
Great lunch idea for hungry people!!!
by cris07
My friend and I was shopping in downtown area and was super hungry for a quick bit to eat. Then, the sales at Nordstorm suggested dim sum at O'Asian, both my friend and I never went there before and we both thought dim sum...can it be quick and good? We were both really surprised. Immediately after we sat down, we were greeted by the dim-sum-cart full of steaming hot food. The food was excellent and we were in and out in 30 mins. I highly recommend O'Asian for anyone who never have dim sum before and want to rethink quick lunch?!
Good food, horrible parking!
by teabn
I went to eat there for an afternoon lunch with my friend. The inside is really nice, this is a good place to have a group get together. I got seated in the booths its very comfortable! The waiters were pretty attentive, around noonish the carts start to slow down, I would suggest to get as much as you can earlier because there will most likely be a wait because it is crowded during dimsum hour. Great food and tea and service. I would go back again.
- Pros: Good food and service
- Cons: PARKING you have to find street parking
I LOVE THIS PLACE EVERYTIME.
by xhearts23
I have gone here with large parties on several occasions and had a wonderful time. The dining area is very large but still warm and friendly. Service has been great everytime as well. Although, I have a lot of compassion for our hospitality workers so I may overlook some of the minor flaws. The food is always wonderful, the drinks are put together well and served by a smiling staff. Highly recommend this place for friends and families.
customer service is not on the menu
by ttowninseattle
The customer service is horrible! I work with the public and if I were to treat my clients the same way I wouldn't have any. I went there for an event and the hostess basically played dumb and had no information me. The bartender was extremely rude and would have rather chat with his buddy than make drinks and the coat check man threatened to not give our coats back because we didn't have a ticket which he didn't give us in the first place. Now why would anyone ever go to a place that obviously doesnt think they need your business.
