The moment i set foot in the door, i was greeted. I had heard about this Hazy Nights Burlesque show and wanted to come and "Check it out" and so i did. not only did i find the show FIRST RATE, but the performances were spectacular. from everything from a Dancing Alligator named FERNANDO to Burlesque divas, to the Host making fun of his own life. That is NOT an easy thing to do onstage. He caused me to Laugh, Cry (with his Beautiful Rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables) it was truly a night to remember. The Food was DELICIOUS! Service Excellent. What more could I ask for? Cocktails were superb. the show itself is a Great Evening of FUN!!! I hope you will go and expereince it as i did. The show apparently happens every Saturday night at 9pm. So if you get the chance.. Go get hazy with Hazy Nights! its a HOOT!!
- Pros: Delightful, Friendly, and Downright FUN!!!
- Cons: That you aren't there for dinner right now!

Yeah, the ambiance is a tad cheesy. Well check the website out, it is also cheesy. I went to Cafe Amore on 04/22/09. The food-it's OK. I could taste the alcohol still in my alfredo sauce. My friend had the salad with duck breast. She really enjoyed it. I mainly picked this place because it's on the Passport Card. When payment time came, I placed my credit card and Passport Card out. The waitress came back and asked how I wanted the payment split. I had to explain to her that one card is an actual credit card and the other is a Passport Unlimited Card. She left and came back a few minutes later and said they do not accept the Passport for lunch. I was pretty sure they did, but did not want to make a scene in front of my friend. When I returned to the office, I logged onto the Passport website, sure enough it shows that they do accept the Passport for lunch. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak with Sean, the manager and owner. I left a message with a server and have yet to hear back from Sean. I also tried to email him from two different email accounts and both times the email was undeliverable.
- Cons: management

Last night I went to Amore and had such a blast. The bar was so friendly and fun... I ate from the Happy Hour menu (which apparently gose all night)... and listened to am amazing blues band and singer. WOW! No cover, ... this place is just entertaining and fun. The ambiance is a bit kitchy romantic italian... but I think that adds to a "let your hair down" feeling allowing for a neat mix of entertainment. It just wasn't snobby or stuffy... but the food was as good as it gets (to die for). It was the type of place you move the tables around (even though they had table clothes and candels on them)... very unique. A true gem in Belltown. I'll be back often.
- Pros: Happy Hour Food! Awesome. Bar sceen fun... live music!
- Cons: It's all good.
A note about the cabaret (time change)

Just an FYI for visitors to the site, the Saturday night Cabaret show is now starting at ***7pm***. Yes, there's still occasionally a dancing alligator (he's my boy, is Fernando). Stay tuned!
- Pros: yummy food, great entertainment
- Cons: the website doesn't get updated often enough
Overpriced romantic restaurant in Belltown

After reading the good reviews I wanted to take my wife to a nice restaurant in Belltown. Unfortunately, we chose Amore Restaurant and were quite disappointed for the most part. The service was very good and the waitress was attentive so no problems there. The highlight of our meal were the salads. Entrees were served luke-warm and were definitely not worth the price.
Definitely will not be returning.
- Pros: Salads were delicious, Service
- Cons: Prices too high, Entrees luke-warm

My husband and I had the pleasure to dine at Amore last Saturday night. The food was fabulous. Way out there above the norm. Chef Sean is a Seattle treasure. What a wonderful guy. I admire him for all the charity work he does in addition to his fabulous cooking. His personal story should be written up in a book. He prepared a special tray of orderves to start our meal which was heavenly. I had the special fish dish and my husband had the Lasagna. Both were a culinary delight, as well as exquisitely prepared and presented. I felt like I was dining at one of the most expensive places in town based on the food and service, but I was pleasently surprized to find the bill was very modest indeed. A great pleace for a special night out.
- Pros: food, service, ambience, value
bad food bad tude good drinks

i went to this restaurant on a date at the recommendation of a friend. my experience was so foul that i am even now considering the merit of that friendship. to begin, the service was atrocious: our waiter barely spoke english, and the waiter from the table beside ours wouldn't leave us alone to eat our meal. the first 3 things we selected off of the menu were not available (for a saturday night, you would think they would offer full fare), when we got our food hers was cold and mine was pasty and tough.. and the portions were pathetic. about 3/4 through the meal, our waiter had vanished. you could hear someone yelling and cussing at someone else (perhaps our missing waiter?) above the music (i assume it was a manager or owner because they were screaming about "MY F@$%^&* RESTAURANT") the restaurant was relatively dead, so it was quite clear. we left without finishing our meal, and without leaving a tip, just in time to see a couple of drag queens begin some sort of show in the other room.
i DID have a very tasty grapefruit-infused cosmopolitan though, but even it was not enough to wash the foul taste this joke of an intimate experience left, out of my mouth.
- Pros: good vodka infusions
- Cons: where to begin....

To Whom it may concern,
I assume that the write up that you have given Amore was meant for another place, The night you are talking about or in question was and is difficult to understand as there was no one at amore that did not have any returned items, there was not even a complaint, nor was the owner or manager around that evening as they were both off at an awards banquet. Nor was there any item we were out of! We are sorry that your experience was not so well at the place you had gone to, Please on your next visit come to Amore and explore what it has to offer you.
Thank you.

We have been to alot of Italian restaurants and by far this is one of my favorites. When we arrived we were greeted promptly. Our dinner included appetizer, salad, and (of course) The Main Course. Everything had perfect flavor. Now as for our sever he was the best. Not once did we have to ask for a refill, actually if I remember correctly we didn't have to ask him for anything because he had done everything taken care of automatically. We have seen the servers who are over the top nice (annoying) and servers who just don't care (rude and I wouldn't go back). Well Valentino was just right so if you have the opportunity ask for Valentino you wont be sorry. :) Ok enough about the service back to the food, we had the spinich dip appetizer it was very good as well as the salad very fresh, and for dinner I had the Chicken Alfredo..........SO good the chicken almost melted in my mouth. Just the right amount of sauce and amazing flavor.
All in all we will be back. I have already recomended this restaurant to quite a few people!!!
A nice place to stop b.

On Friday night for $20 they have dinner and a movie night. they were showing a spaghetti western and had a wonderful 3 course meal to accompany it. The four layer meat lasagna on an alfredo sauce was very good.
- Pros: interesting menu, fun place
- Cons: Fig, blueberry and balsamic vinegar reduction too vinegary on the braised lamb
