I recently attended a party with a group of my friends there. We couldn't have been treated better, our server was very attentive, drinks were made with the right balance and our food ranged from a "grilled flatbread" to our Kahlua Pork sandwich, to finally the first time I've snacked on Plantain chips. YUMMY! Their Happy hour is very reasonable, $3 drinks and $4 dollar appetizers. I'd recommend their Mai Tai since they are a tiki bar (was delicious actually), The Chi Chi, and my last one was the infamous Volcano bowl which I shared with my other girlfriend. Both were fun, different and "filling" to say the least. They are very accomodating for group reservations I've learned, since I'm going to hold my Birthday party there soon. I liked it alot, definitely reasonably priced and a very fun atmosphere to socialize in.

I love this place. Drinking Mai Tais and sitting on the chaise lounges while looking at the Black Velvet Mural and playing our favorite music on the Jukebox. Does life get better than that? Hula Hula puts Trader Vics to shame. It is much more kitchy and much less corporate. I want to take a pufferfish lamp home with me.

I was with some friends and walked by a few times before seeing they were open. I was impressed with the decor, the staff was familiar to me and it just felt right. I has some pupu's, was crazy about some, some I could do without. I think it has alot of potential, lots of space to hideway with friends and will definitely keep going back for the great cocktails. My service was fine, friendly, casual and good to see something not trying to be Uban Chic..... Recommends *Ahi Tuna* *Pork Sandwich* *Hula steak roll* Drinks: Mai Tai, Volcano bowl (for two), Scurvy bowl, and the Tower of Power (Beer column thingy)

Pros: service, parking, affordable, funky

Cons: music

Editor's Review

A South Seas paradise even on the rainiest days at this retro-kitsch tiki bar from the owners of Tini Bigs.  See the full editorial review.
