I was excited to get my 50" plasma tv for zero down and zero interest for 3 years. My experience in the store was great. Nice salesperson got me the perfect tv and surround sound and the Firedog installer worked for hours to put it all up. My problems started when I got a finance charge for my supposedly zero interest program. It turns out my payment was 2 days late. I set up a recurring payment to avoid this. The problem is Chase (the credit card company that cirucuit city uses) floats their due dates. One month it is the 15th the next it is the 13th. I called them to say that obviiously I was barely late and it was because they move the date around. They said I can dispute it in writing, which is code for go jump in a lake. I immediately paid the balance and cancelled the account to prevent anymore money going to them. What a sneaky way to make extra money. No grace period and $35 if you miss the moving date by one day. I may shop at cc again but definitely won't fall for the zero interest ploy again.
Pros: Some good equiment
Cons: Terrible financing
