I visited Spa Blix for a pampering before my sister's wedding. Mind you, I am also 8 months pregnant. I got a spectrum of services done from a brow wax to manicure to a massage. Let me just tell you, the whole experience was fabulous! Carlie the massage therapist was incredible and treated my poor pregnant body so well. Her use of touch, aromatherapy, and general kindness was so effective in making me feel like new. Being located in the South Lake Union neighborhood right across the street from REI in the new Alley 24 is perfect and I am glad to have discovered this new spa in this new emerging neighborhood.
Pros: ambience, service

At Spa Blix you can retreat with the ultimate service, and shabby-chic like atomosphere. I have been going here almost once a month for a year now for facials and massage. It can't be beat. The locker room is served by a giant shower head with all the best products for sampling. The stone massage is heaven and your skin will thank you after a facial with the best treatment options for dry or tired skin. Love the plush body robes and the zen like massage rooms. You won't be sorry.
Pros: staff, value, location
Cons: none

I have been to a number of massage treatments throughout the years, but none of those have come close to a recent experience at Spa Blix. When you talk about people having the "touch" one name should come up, Carlie. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. My favorite part was Carlie's style. Most massages work on a certain part of your body and once they've moved on to the next, that's it. Carlie used a style of integrated massage that always kept me guessing, where she was continually working different parts of the body. It was great. I walked out and immediately booked another appointment. l'll definitely make a habit of going back to her.
Pros: Carlie

My daughter brought me here for a massage and it was great. The massage therapist really knew her stuff and I felt like a new man when I left. I am not much of spa person but I really enjoyed the salon staff and relaxation areas.
Pros: Service, staff
Cons: none

The massages here are the best in town!! And the pedicures fantastic. Everything has been thought out for the guest to feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful with treatment needs and product knowledge. I would recommend this spa to everyone.
Pros: Caters to men and women, parking

Spa Blix is the place to go for beautiful skin. I have tried many medications and topicals to clear my acne but nothing worked for me. Aimee started me on a chemical peel regime and I can honestly say my skin looks amazing. The acne is gone and any signs of scarring have diminished. I use Image for maintenance and would suggest anyone wanting thier skin to look its best should head over to this spa. They also do great manis/pedis. The place is spectacular hand picked design and decor.
Pros: expert staff, parking, neighborhood
Cons: none

I have been a guest of Spa Blix for 6 months (yes I spend a lot of time on my sanity and stress relief) and it has always been an incredible experience. The space itself is intimate and inviting and the staff is always attentive (they had hostess problems in the past but worked out those issues fast.) The massage artists are the best of the best. Each service was designed for ultimate relaxation or treatment value and I have always left feeling healed or revived. The facials are also top notch and the estheticians really know thier stuff. My favorite is the Fire and Ice facial for anti aging properties, but the Image skincare line rocks for at home care. The nail techs do a great job with feet and hands using an awesome marine mask even in basic pedis. And waxing services are a definite with this place. They just started a "brow bar" which looks interesting. I could honestly rave about the place forever and I will definitely be back SOON.
Pros: Validated parking, expert artists, beautiful place, excellent products
Cons: no side by side massage

First let me say i will definitely go back. I went with friends and we all more than enjoyed our services. The practitioners were all top notch and experienced and the rooms were lovely. What was missing in the experience that prevented me from rating it a 5 was the overall relaxing spa experience. When booking, the front desk/booker didn't seem to know anything about the treatments. Once we got there, we felt that the support staff/front desk staff could use a little extra training. there were three of us. She took us in the back and said that there were robes and flipflops in the lockers and left. We then realized there were only two lockers available and only one had a robe (but no flip flops). My friend had to go back out and tell her. Then she only brought two flipflops and two robes, so one of us had no flip flops. Then we realized there was no toilet paper and no hand towels so we had to go BACK out and ask for that. She told us to help ourselves to water and when we went to do so found there were two glasses and only a splash of water in the pitcher. Each one of these things seems like no big deal, but when added up, it diminished the experience. As soon as she found something amiss, she should have checked everything else so we didn't have to keep asking. For the price of the services, I'd just expect a little bit more of a seamless experience.
Pros: validated parking, expert practitioners who LISTEN, nice rooms
Cons: disorganized, not relaxing outside of treatment rooms

Be careful using the map function on this web site because as of today it's sending people to the wrong place- but despite the difficulty in getting there (it's across from REI) it was totally worth it! Cute place, very quiet, great products and beautiful bathrooms. Best of all was the massage by NOVA . 90 minutes just kept going and going. Use of heated towels, packs and aroma was incredibly relaxing and she is obviously very skilled, yet does not make the massage feel at all clinical or rushed. Everything was so calming and refreshing I didn't want to leave. Having tried many spas in the Seattle Area this is by far my favorite and I can't wait to go back.

I just received a facial at Spa Blix by Mary and thought it was amazing. I do not get facials often, but this experience will keep me coming back. I was so relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire facial and when I left the spa, I just felt like my skin was glowing. Thanks Mary! I will be seeing you soon.
