This client met in person with Dan McKay as well as the actual DJ who performed at her wedding. At least 2 dozen emails were exchanged during the planning stages. The DJ who performed had all her documentation and was intimately familar with her event. Dan had a sudden family emergency which prevented his attending; a matter to which the client was unsympathetic. The day after her wedding, Dan spoke at length with her and she called the DJ "wonderful". All her requested ceremony music was played, as well as a good number of her requests. Now the bride has decided she is disappointed that her outdoor daytime wedding at her residence wasn't a big dance fest. Guests were mainly older who wanted to talk. The only contention is that Dan was not able to personally be there. All her contracted services were performed to professional standards. "This is the first time in 28 years as a DJ that a client has given us this feedback," McKay said.

We hired Party Hits Entertainment/Dan McKay to DJ our 9/8 wedding, and were very disappointed. They advertise themselves as providing a unique and memorable party, and instead their performance was generic and merely adequate. The promised DJ (Dan McKay) didn't show. Even worse, he didn't call to explain or apologize. Our play list was almost completely ignored. Many of the songs played were unfamiliar and/or hard to dance to. When we expressed our dissatisfaction (calling Dan the day after the wedding) he showed no concern, became defensive, and argued that if the DJ didn't totally ruin the reception then we had no cause for complaint. No apology or acknowledgment of any kind for their failure to perform as promised. Save your money (they're expensive!) and look elsewhere.
