Best Martinis in Belltown, probably Seattle in general

This bar was AMAZING! My best friend and I were searching for a martini bar that would actually make specialized martinis and were directed somewhere else in the beginning and were about to give up hope when we happened upon this bar a block from our rented condo. The food was excellent (I mean where else can you get a huge bowl of fries that are superb with house made tartar sauce that is to die for), I even swapped some Korean recipes with the owner of the bar, Dave who was a stand-up guy who was more than personable, he remembered us throughout the trip whenever we went there and if he saw us around town would actually stop and talk with us and remember who we were.

The waitstaff was so friendly and entertaining. They never treat anyone as if it's a job to serve them drinks or food, they treat you as if you're family here which is a big thing in this day and age when people are spending good money on drinks and food. I really liked the fact that this bar only uses name brand alcohol for their shelf liquor, you won't get a bad drink here because all the alcohol is good, name brand, recognizable liquor. Not to mention the bartenders are magicians when it comes to mixing drinks.

I really loved this bar, and if I ever get back to Seattle, I know where I'm headed for my first martinis. There was no guess work here, if they don't know how to make something they don't bumble around and try to give you something they think is what you want. They'll make sure you get what you want and after some of the service that was less than stellar in Seattle, we were so happy to find this martini bar.

So if you want a place where you can get amazing martinis, entertainment by the staff, food that is huge in proportion to the price that tastes great and won't leave you feeling like you spent a ton of money, this is the bar to go to. They make you family the first time you come, but it's the kind of family you're happy to see. And where else can you get food, alcohol and dancing to great music all in the same place?

Great Happy Hour

Hip little place

I love coming to this place. The staff are friendly and service is great. I think that is cool that they have a live DJ once a week. It may look dark ang dank but it a great place to get a cocktail and fries.

Excellent HH spot

The first time we visited Karma was for my 30th birthday back in March. We've been going there for happy hour ever since! Nothing beats the $4 champagne w/chambord-- which the bartender, Chris knows us by & has our drinks ready before we even order. We love Chris-- he's the best bartender in Belltown! The owner, David is really friendly and makes a point to say hi each time we're there when he's there. The waitress, Sarah is very nice as well. There are very few places that has excellent happy hour with excellent customer service where people are friendly and just having a good time... We definitely lucked out when we came upon this treasure spot! We heart Karma and hope it remains super awesome always!!

APRIL 20th, 2008 - Boston to Seattle by way of Los Angeles: KARMA - A MUST SEE

Me and a colleague just returned from a business trip to Seattle. We really enjoyed the people of Seattle and especially liked the bar "Karma". This extremely fun place had a great atmosphere and the people were absolutely outstanding. We spent some time talking to the owner David and he is an especially friendly and an accomodating host. David has done an outstanding job making "Karma" a must visit bar in Seattle. David is a true gentleman and knows how to keep customers entertained.

The bar is thriving with atractive people and great music. The food was very good and the mood was just right for a Friday night in Seattle. The small dance floor was teaming with friendly people making this smaller hang-out a "happening" place.

Karma's staff was incredible and two individuals deserve special recognition. We visited on a Friday night and even though the place was buzzing with activity, the two funniest and most atractive waitresses we had seen in all of Seattle (or the West Coast) made time to stop and talk to us. Sarah and Mila were absolutely stunning and mesmerizing. My only complaint was that this was our last night in Seattle and we could have enjoyed so much more!!!

Karma is the place to be on any day of the week. I highly recommend going there and enjoying this martini lounge. David, Mila and Sarah, thank you so much for a wonderful send-off from Seattle back to Boston. We hope to see you all again soon.

Best Atmosphere in Seattle!

I love this place!

From the staff, DJ's, food, customers, to the owner.... David has a great place with an amazing environment. He is generous, genuine, and hospitable, and it shows through all the patrons that spend a evening there with him and his team. Every time I see David he has a smile on his face, and speaks to me with sincerity. I believe he makes friends with whoever walks through the door.

I have been going to Karma for the past 2 months on Friday nights. DJ Sang-do does an amazing job keeping everyone in the place dancing. Whether it be on the dance floor, the dinner tables, or at the bar where patron's throw their hands up in the air with happiness. Never have I run into a dis-satisfied customer....everyone leaves fulfilled.

Karma serves food until closing, and it is worth it.... The cook is always spot on with consistency and perfection of flavor and spice. Pan-Asian, Chinese.... anyway you cut it, it's really good.

Best martini ever??

Well, um, did you know about the MayFlower hotel's bar and its martinis? They make superb chocolate martinis that are - well - to die for. Try it next time you're in Seattle. (Disclosure: I have nothing to do with the place of business I mentioned.)

Great food, fun music and dance floor, no cover!

I went to Karma Friday night and there was really fun house music playing. I can't believe there is a place to dance with good music in Belltown, with no cover charge. The Pan-Asian food was really great, too. Three of us split two tasty dishes, and still had leftovers. The staff seemed friendly, which definitely makes a difference on how I feel about a bar or club. I plan to go back to Karma this Friday!

Best Martini's Ever

I am currenly on tour with Dane Cook and I have been to 19 cities in less than 30 days. Each night we try to find the best restaurant we can and let me tell you we have found some good ones. But Karma Lounge is simply the best spot for martini's in the land. We showed up super late last night when the place was about to close on a Monday, and the owner opened the kitchen and served us the most amazing drinks I have ever tasted. From the Washington Apple martini (hometown fav) made with real apples, to the best Mojito this side of Cuba, to the Key Lime martini for dessert, we could have been happier. And the only thing better than the drinks was the service. We will be back for dinner and my instinct are right, we will be just as satisfied. Thanks David!

Amazing drinks and more

I have been to Karma a few times now, and am pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of serivce, cocktails, atmosphere, and music are consistently great. The crew, from top to bottom seemed genuinely motivated to provide awesome cocktails and service. Our server, nicole, was a peach, and had their head bartender come over and guide us through their unconventional drink list. The food was of outstanding quality for the price, and everyone in our group loved their drinks. I don't think I have ever seen a nightclub bartender hand-squeeze fresh limes for a margarita on a busy saturday night in belltown prior to visiting karma. I highly reccommend checking out their good eats and drinks.
