This place is a hot, upscale make-up studio. I happened upon Karen looking for the right eyeshadow. I not only found that, but she made a few simple changes that completely changed the look of my face. The most important one being shaping my eyebrows. I just cant believe how awesome they look. Besides being incredible good at what she does, she is super sweet and really personable. The long distance (70 miles) I travel is totally worth it.

Pros: great prices, great service, great place

Cons: you'll never want to leave

Karen Scott and her incredible talent and specificity with shaping eyebrows has changed my face incredibly and has given me the confidence in my job to feel more professional. She has a truly custom approach where she is able to do whatever is needed to your eyebrows be it styling, coloring, reshaping etc. Whenever I have my eyebrows done- friends and strangers always complement me on how great my brows look. I HIGHLY recommend Karen to everyone! It's just an essential as getting a haircut!

Pros: Great location, beautiful upscale salon, always excellent service

Cons: sometimes parking but there is a parking lot attached!

Karen Scott is AMAZING!!! I went to her today for the first time and I can't get over how great she made my eyebrows look!! I never realized how eyebrow shaping could make such a difference! Her studio in the Chess & Burman Salon is fun, warm and stylish and she put all my fears of eyebrow waxing at ease in an instant. (my horrible past experiences w/ eyebrow waxing involved me fearfully waiting for the person to give me the mirror to show me the sliver of an eyebrow they had left me) Karen Scott is truly the expert! She has great affordable prices and unbeatable service. She grooms and shapes your eyebrows to perfection! She even tinted mine a little making them look fuller and more defined! Definitely book an appointment with Karen and see for yourself! You'll get hooked just like me! Eyebrow shaping with Karen every month now!!! :)

Pros: absolute best!

Cons: (only finding out about Karen now!...i wish I had been going to her forever!!)

This was by far my favorite eyebrow experience! Karen is great at what she does, eyebrows can change the look of your whole face and for that reason Karen is now the only person I will ever go to. She knows what shapes will compliment your face and her personality is great!

Pros: Great eyebrows

Cons: Running out of her cards to give out

Like other reviewers, I never gave enough thought to my eyebrows. After getting a bad eyebrow wax and running across her on CitySearch, I gave it a shot. Wow! Her prices are reasonable, her service is exceptional and you will look great!

Pros: Amazing, easy to get an appointment, reasonable prices

Cons: Parking is a bit of a hassle and expensive in the building

Okay, here's my eyebrow experience. Before Karen, I considered eyebrows an accessory--mainly because I had never had them done in a way that made them look like features in their own right. Or, when they were done they looked so gnarly, they drew the wrong kind of attention to them. Now, thanks to the artistry of Karen, I actually get compliments on them! I mean who ever gets compliments on their eyebrows? Actually, what I often get first is compliments on my eyes, then I tell them it's really the eyebrows that are bringing out my eyes. Here's the best part--I always come out of her cool little space looking at least 5-7years younger. So, before you dish out a couple of grand on an eyebrow lift, try Karen first. Oh, one more thing. She's got this little thing of cover up that works like magic on getting the red out of my skin tone. No other product--and I've tried tons--works as well as this one. The long and short of all this is that I've gone to Karen now for about six years and I plan on going there until I'm a LOL.

Pros: Beautiful work & beautiful atmosphere that makes you happy to be there and even happier when you leave because you'll be lovelier--and younger!

Cons: Andy Rooney doesn't come here

Like so many other people I have gone through my fair share of brow waxing, always looking for the one person that would "get it right". Well, after many years of searching I have finally found that person, Karen Scott. Although I have only had a couple of sessions with her, the transformation that my brows have gone through is truly amazing. After many botched attempts by other so-called "experts", my brows were a real mess and in much need of serious TLC. After reading the other reviews about Karen I decided to give it a shot and see if there was anything that she could do for me. My first visit with her was great! She took a good look at what we were working with and went right to work. At the end of that first visit I could have just hugged her! I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe what a fantastic job she did with what she had to work with. Before I left I made sure to schedule my next visit and she gave me a couple of recommendations to make our next visit even more successful than the first (my brows are a work in progress afterall). I can't speak well enough about Karen and I highly recommend going to her once because after that first visit you won't want to go anywhere else.

Pros: Small intimate environment and Karen is very personable.

Cons: Haven't found any yet.

I have been going to Karen for over 3 years, and i will never go to anyone else. For 15 years, across 2 countries and 3 states, I had been through so many butchers and hideous botch jobs, that my brows were a real mess..... I was worried they were too messed up to be corrected, let alone look amazing. I found Karen through a review on Daily Candy. From the moment I met her, she made me feel really comfortable, and explained what we were going to do to fix the nightmare. She has worked miracles, and I have never looked back. She has absolutely transformed my brows and I am extremely happy!! I get a lot of compliments! Not only is Karen an authority on brows and makeup, she is a wonderful person and takes great care of her clients. She's really warmhearted, genuine and a true professional. I'm really thankful to have found her. You will be too!

Cons: She won't fit in your purse when you travel...

Karen is amazing. I have been going to her for three years and refuse to go anywhere else. She has completely changed the shape of my brows -- she helped me grow them back after years of abuse at other salons, and now they are perfectly manicured to my face. Not only is she an eyebrow guru, but she's also a wonderful person and I always look forward to our visits. Highly Recommended. Oh and her makeup line can't be beat.

I started going to Karen Scott three months ago becaue I needed help preparing for a pageant I am competing in. Karen has not only given me the most beautiful eyebrows I have ever had, but she has also [patiently] taught me how to apply make-up so that I look beautiful on the outside and feel beautiful on the inside. I have received numerous compliments from family, friends, and even strangers since I started seeing her. I have so much more confidence now because Karen has helped me taken my natural beauty up a notch! She is one of the most compassionate, kind, and giving people I have ever met and treats her clients as dear friends. Karen also has an assistant who is wonderful as well. Her boutique is filled with wonderful energy every time I visit and I always look forward to my next appointment with her!
