This place has the feel of a popular neighborhood restaurant. The closest thing to an English pub that I have seen in America. The waiter is friendly and very attentive. And the food....well it has a huge array of vegetarian specialties that are often original and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The freshness of the greens will send you into orbit. This place is every bit as good as Cafe Flora but it has real people and a working class atmosphere. What a find!

Pros: Everything.

Cons: Not sure you can bring kids in here.

I'm almost hesitant to share this, as GLC has sort of an undergound feel which I appreciate, but I also think the business deserves to thrive, and that people will love it! All the food ROCKS, even if you're not a veggie or vegan. The lentil-sage field roast in some of the sandwiches is a great alternative to all-soy vegan food we see everywhere, and it's delicous. The roasted veggie platter is divine, and the brie-apricot-field roast-arugula sandwich is my standby. I love the bartenders--I always feel like a pal, and the drinks are very strong (order less strong if that's what you prefer). All this, and it's pretty cheap!

Pros: FOOD & DRINKS!

Cons: If you don't dig divey atmospheres, forget it.

This place is awesome. I joke that if my husband were a restaurant, it would be Georgetown Liquor Company. It is: vegetarian, sci-fi themed, hard-rock-playing, video games in back, with very good drinks. I have been here twice now and all 4 meals I have tried are wonderful. You wouldn't expect such high-quality, fine vegetarian food from what looks like a fun dive bar, but the food is truly amazing. The drinks are very strong and delicious at a great price ($4 for a glass of whiskey with a dash of coke). The music is cool. The games are fun. The service is truly warm and hospitable. I have never had nicer service in Seattle. I think GLC just surpassed Carmelita as my favorite restaurant--probably going back tonight! Oh yeah--there are theme nights and game days, etc., so you might want to check that out before you go.

Pros: Food, atmosphere, service, drinks

Cons: um...make sure you don't miss the railroad crossing and bottom out your car on the tracks

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick lunch not expecting anything spectacular but boy were we surprised! The food was delicious and we're not even vegetarians! The bartender who served us made us feel like regulars and made our drinks accordingly. We will definitely go back!

Pros: Good food, good buzz

This place rocks! Really! My husband and I just recently went there and I must say my dinner was excellent! My husband is like the anti-vegeterian and he loved his Reuban. He even wants to go back again. The service is so great. Really for a town that I think lacks in the service department, the staff here is so on it! Thanks for a great dinner and opening my husbands eyes to great tasting vegetarian food. It's the only vegetarian I can get his to go to now since we had a bad lunch at Cafe Flora. Good Job Georgetown Liquor Company! Plus Georgetown is a great location anyway.

Pros: The staff is great, the food is excellent, veggie rocks here!

Cons: parking is lacking but really just use a scooter your in Georgetown
