Nancy is awesome!!! Loved my haircut, loved the color, thought her prices were incredibly reasonable and her salon very charming! Definitely recommend her and will be going back.

Nancy's salon is a great find. Her hair coloring skills are amazing, and the products have left my hair in the best condition in years. She is commited to offering her clients the best. It is so obvious she loves her work. I hate to switch who does my hair, but when my former stylist moved out of town, I was lucky to find Shampoo Bar on city search.If you currently use toxic coloring products you've got to try Shampoo Bar. It was hard to throw away my huge pile of hair products (mistakes) that did nothing to improve my hair, but what a difference using the products she suggested! Her haircuts have been exactly what I wanted, top quality for neighborhood prices.

Shampoo Bar is such a refreshing and welcome change! When my very good stylist at Habitude left, I decided there was no reason to put up with the unpleasantness and billing mistakes of the bored clerks at the reception desk -- and the chemical fumes of Aveda's "natural" products. But where to go? Luckily I found Shampoo Bar. Nancy listened carefully to my concerns and offered ideas and solutions. As she applied color, I suddenly realized I wasn't breathing in nasty toxic vapors. Amazing. The end result: a great haircut, soft and vibrant color, and a happy me. When I had admired the results in Nancy's mirror, I made my next appointment.

Highly recommend this salon for those looking for good haircuts and a healthier approach to hair styling that does not include harmful chemical ingredients in the products used there. Nice ambience in the salon and would recommend going to a friend. My partner always likes my haircut.

You will wish you knew about Shampoo Bar a long time ago. Nancy, the owner, with her many years of experience in the salon business, really cares about the quality of her products as well as making sure you are getting the best hair color. My first time going to Shampoo Bar Nancy sat down with me and studied my complexion and eyes and suggested a color mixture she thought would be best. Well, she was exactly right with her choice. The color was so natural and close to my original color it really did not look as if I had it colored. The few shades she mixed were creatively applied showing subtle highlights The quality of the organic hair color product is truly first rate. She uses Pureology and Chi hair shampoo, conditioning, Infusion, etc. products In fact I was actually using henna on my hair with probably 50 percent gray. The organic hair color she uses went right over the henna that was on my hair and worked extremely well. My hair now is very shiny, healthy, soft. This hair color lasts longer, the regrowth of gray isn't as obvious as other hair colors. I also got the best hair cut and style from Nancy as well. I have short hair and she has cut it in a way that has versatility. I can have it funky one day or conservative the next. Her salon is relaxing and soothing and Nancy herself is a very down to earth person.

Nancy is the best!! She is not only amazing with hair, but she has made the salon very comfotable and relaxing, uses high quality organic products, and is very easy to talk to. She is wholly committed to making sure her customers are 110% satisfied and enjoy the entire hair experience. Not only have I always been satisfied with my style and experience, but she is also very informative about healthy safe hiar products. I will continue to go Nancy for as long as I live in Seattle.

I had my hair done by Nancy for the first time. I was very impressed. My color is beautiful and my hair feels so soft and healthy! Also, there was no smell or the itchy burn that I usually get from other hair color. I have had a lot of problems finding someone that can change my mousy, brown hair color to a natural looking red. It was either to bright or uneven the last few times and I was never happy with it. I am so pleased now! They really know what they are doing there. I also felt like I was in a very caring environment. I highly recommend this salon.

Pros: Nancy is the best. Her experience and skill makes this salon amazing.

Nancy did a great job with my hair. The organic products she used restored my hair and left it feeling silkier than ever. She took her time with me and even went back and recut my haircut after styling it.Originally I had just wanted a trim, but it left my head looking in between two haircuts. Nancy worked with me to create a cut that grew in looking styled for months (did I mention that I don't usually like to get my hair cut?). I have reccommended this place to several satisfied friends so far.

I met Nancy a year ago just walking by the salon. I was very interested in the organic products she was using. I made an appointment last August and having been going to her ever since. I have A LOT of gray hair and I'm only 30 years old. The color always looks very natural and lasts for a very long time. I have very sensitive skin and I've gone to other salons like Gene Juarez and during the color process my scalp would itch. I haven't experienced any of these effects with the products Nancy uses. She is very friendly and really listens to my concerns. I strongly recommend Shampoo Bar!

Although there are a few around, it's not that easy to find an organic salon in Seattle, and this is a good one. No snooty attitude here, just great products and services from Nancy and her team. She is a perfectionist and I've never had a better haircut, let alone the wonderful products she uses. My color is so soft and natural-looking. Nancy is so nice and easy to work with. Do your hair a favor and visit Nancy.
