Russells in Bothell under rated and under exposed

by Iva84 at Citysearch

the food and atmosphere is so inviting. It is a fine dining high end restaurants. Russell is a well known caterer and makes amazing food. He is willing to go beyond the extra mile to satisfy you and your tastebuds. This place has not been open very long and is located in a corporate lot so there are a lot of businesses surrounding. It can be hard to find if you are not familiar with Bothell, but is definately worth searching for. Russells in bothell is a well hidden diamond that needs to be shown. I recommend visiting Russells and telling all of your friends about it. WWW.RDLCATERING. 425-486-4072

What a Surprise!

by digo at Citysearch

We went to Russell's after hearing so much about it!

Oh Boy what a delight!

Great wine, wonderful food!

The first time we had the fillet mignon... it's the "you can cut it with the fork" kind, melting in your mouth!

We keep going back, everything is so yummi! The chicken, the fettuccini all good! Oh and the scallops! And my favourite, the halibut!

But the biggest plus for me: this is the place where I can take my friends, family and know that the food and service will be great.... can't go wrong woth Russel's!

Hope you'll enjoy it too!

Hidden cow outlet.

The wife and I went here a few months back after hearing about it from several folks in our area. Good to find a nice steak joint without having to venture too far outside the neighborhood.

Atmosphere is a little lacking in terms of the ambiance and decor (the wife calls me a restaurant snob, and it's true) but food is great, staff was very friendly, and has a nice bar area to wait for a table.

  • Pros: Great local venue for good steaks. Casual atmosphere.
  • Cons: Very hard to find. A bit on the pricey side.

Not worth the time...

by kmshannon at Citysearch

am not sure these other reviewers went to the same Russell's. I work in the office park where Russell's is located and refuse to go there anymore. The food is overpriced and the wait staff is rude. For a typical lunch which might be a chicken sandwich on foccicia bread, you will wait 20 minutes and pay $8 and feel like you inconvenienced them. The sandwich will be about the size of a CD jewel case and is probably 70% bread. Along with this you get a wonderful 4 piece assortment of thinly sliced fruit. The last straw for me was going down to get breakfast where I paid $7.35 for a piece of quiche that was smaller than a post-it note (I wish I could post the picture I took of it). I have been there for dinner and had a beef carpaccio and the filet mignon. The appetizer was bland and the filet was a good cut and wasn't too bad however the fingerling potatoes that accompanied it were waxy and overcooked. Imitating a high-class restaurant, the chef comes out and she asks how your meal was. I said it was fine and left it at that as I am not usually one to complain, I just won't go back. I really wanted to tell her that salt was not a privilege and would suggest they purchase some and start using it while cooking. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is equal to that of your normal little town cafe with dimmed lighting, again trying to imitate a big restaurant. You are so close to everyone it is very hard to hold a conversation while sitting in your little wooden chair or wooden bench on a tile floor.

Best hidden secret in Bothell

by aa425 at Citysearch

The rustic ambiance and collective menu is great for intimate dining or groups. The staff was warm and friendly and everyone greeted you as you enter. The first time we came we were surprised to see that the restaurant was barely half way full on a Friday night but the second time we visited we were ecstatic to see that the crowd has grown to fill the bar and dining area. Happy hour is exceptionally priced and offers a comfortable and quaint lounge. The food was seasoned to perfection and obviously cooked by a pro. The duck, lamb and fillet mignon was absolutely to die for! The menu also offered a vegetable napoleon menu which would appeal to vegetarians alike. The service was exceptional with well-trained staff and knowledgably wine selections. Be sure to make reservations as this place is becoming very popular!

  • Pros: Service, knowledge, food cooked to perfection, plenty of parking
  • Cons: hidden near office buildings

excellent food, setting, & price

by hpsimpson at Citysearch

In my opinion Russell's is one of the best finds in Bothell. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the food is not only excellent but excellently priced! The restaurant is located in a converted barn and gives the feeling of being in wine country. The atmosphere is warm and the staff is friendly. The wine list features many of our best local wines and the menu features something for everyone... seafood, steak, duck, pork, lamb, etc... Everything that we tried was phenomenal and we were pleased to discover that the most expensive entree was $29. I definately would definately recommend that you give Russell's a try.
