User Reviews for Ballard Brothers Seafood & Burgers

Great burgers and excellently seasoned fries - juicy , delicious. Worth the extra $ and having to deal with the stoner staff who are always doing something amusingly wacky. The quality of the food is exceptional for a burger joint. move over red mill.

Pros: Excellent quality burgers and fries, take out can be ordered in advance by phone

Cons: Service

A great find in Ballard; lots of good choices of burgers - meat & salmon. The fries are wonderful too. I visit about 2x per month. You don't have to ask for tarter sauce; they give it w/the fries.

I recently came accross Ballard Brothers through a friend of mine that works at Ballard Highschool. I am not sure why someone would go to Red Mill when you can have a far better burger here. In fact, I'll claim it as the best burger I've had in Seattle since moving here in 2000. Seriously?!! If somebody has a good reason why other burger places in Seattle are better - let me know - i can't think of one! I am impressed with Ballard Brother's quality and variety of options. BB just flat out rocks. The booth I sat at wasn't the cleanest, but what do you expect for a burger joint.. I've seen far worse.

Ballard Brothers moved to it's new location and I just recently tried it. Perhaps the other review was the old location? In any case, they had been building the restaurant and had some materials inside to complete building, but were still serving. They were not surly nor was it dirty, it just wasn't completed yet. I got a regular cheeseburger the first time and it was pretty good, but I don't really eat much beef. So the second time I got the chicken club, with melty swiss cheese and bacon. OMG! So freakin good! Additionally, I don't normally even LIKE french fries, but I actually crave the fries from Ballard Brothers. I never eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on that, I always grab dinner on the way home from work. But it's pretty dang good, if you ask me!

Pros: Yummy Chicken Club burger. Addictive french fries!

Cons: Service is a bit slow, but they make everything as you order it, so it takes some time.

Wasn't expecting much so I was not shocked. Had the recommended cajun blackened salmon sandwich. Which was actually a small piece of salmon on a stale sesame seed bun and some secret sauce. Ordered a bottled water and they were out of it. Dining area was dirty and the place was not busy at all. After the guy rang up my order I saw him walk past the fries that appeared to be sitting there for a while and he grabbed a couple and started eating them. Of course this was after handling the money in the register. Not to mention he was an older gentleman too, possibly the owner. You could see a younger kid doing this but he should know better.

Pros: Parking

Cons: Surely customer service, dirt dining area and kitchen area, food was not fresh at all
