I'm a guy - who normally wouldn't enter into a clothing specialty - fashion business. But following family and the name of the business .. I was curious and after initial sticker shock, I was impressed. Trendy clothing, but not over the top. Pricey, but I guess expected for "couture" (?) styles. Mostly womens (expected - be on the petite side, think Japanese women - very young women) but there was a small selection for men. I even purchased a few items (something I wouldn't do, no matter the "label"). I don't visit Seattle often, but Atsui Tokyo is on my schedule every time I do.

Pros: Service, service, service ... fashion ... ambience

Cons: Expensive (but warranted?), parking (but this is Seattle)

Response from this business

Thank you for the great response

We do our best to provide great customer service and help you with all your needs. On our selection, we try to bring the more affordable brands rather than Yohji or Comme des Garcon which is not in the average persons price range. Please check out our online shop to see prices on our current selection, www.atsuitokyo.com. Current trends in Japan for men's lines is a tight fitted look. In fact, a fashionable male in Japan who would need a large shirt may wear a medium size to achieve an extra tight fit. Thus, a lot of our labels will run smaller, but some designers are American cuts. Women currently tend to be more A-line and layered. Sizing will work for US size 0-8 on most items, but we can go larger. We also sell to all ages, young and young at heart. Parking is challenging in downtown. Valet parking is available just outside our front door at the Alexis Hotel, street parking, and there is a parking lot one block away.
