Rude Service, never going back. Rude Rude Rude service from both the bartender and the manager. My wife and I were in with two of our kids on March 12, one of them just 30 minutes from turning 21. We wanted to eat in the restruant portion, but the bartender and the manager both said our soon to be 21 year old could not be there because she was only 20, and in 30 minutes, STILL said she could not be there because he license expired on the 13th. The 13th was 24 hours away, but they would not budge. Told them we were never coming back, and they said good, because they did not want customers like us. I used to eat there often for business lunches and will tell everyone at work as well never to go there. RUDE RUDE RUDE!

If you like oily food. I recently visited for lunch and ordered the chorizo tacos with black beans and rice. My order was brought out and the tacos were dripping out, not a little but a great amount of, oil. When (my waitress) came by again, I asked her if the chorizo tacos are normally this oily here. She went back and asked and shared with me that she was told they could be.

The two tacos dripped enough oil to cover half of the side of the plate where the tacos were sitting next to the rice and beans. I am usually not very picky, but this lunch was definately not what I was expecting.

I thought this was not typical of The Matador and felt the need to take time and share my experience with the management so I went to their website and wrote an email to management. I did not get a response after a week.

If you don't mind a really oily couple of tacos and the lack of response to your feedback, this place is for you.

Food is lacking in this nicely decorated hangout. I stopped in here for the first time with a friend the other night. We had heard good things but were very disappointed in the overly salty calamari and the rather bland crabcakes we ordered. The service here was good, and the decorations and ambiance are pretty good as well, just think they need to work on their menu or their cooks or something.

Average. When I went (a Sunday night) the service was ok. I had no complaints. Some of the food was excellent, some of it was average. I like the atmosphere, but it's a small place. And it's also quite open and I'm sure it's very loud on a busy night. The wooden seats could use a cushion.

I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Tequila lovers rejoice. Great atmosphere, decent food ( I only went for lunch) and plenty of Tequila. If I was Tequila drinker I would be back next Friday belly up to the bar trying all that they had, which was a lot. This place could be a great place to hang out on a Friday after work, it you like Tequila. Service was a little slow and unattentive but not horrible. It wasworth trying once.

worst service ever. NEVER GO HERE!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! so we went with a large group of friends (10) to celebrate a birthday. First of all they dont split checks...so be prepared to do math (as in add your meal, drinks, tax and tip)... they add the gratuity which as a server i understand for a large group and I never tip badly and she flat out didn't deserve anything!! tips should reflect your service and when you get bad service and by bad i mean worst i have ever gotten in my life... their should have been no tip. Even with the really low cut shirt she was wearing... which was just tacky

Our server never introduced herself, we ordered drinks and it took over 15 min to get them... once finished we waited almost a half hour to get asked if we wanted a re-fill... the food was burnt, they forgot my boyfriends food, and he was starving so he ate mine (i hated it.. picked starving over eating)... then when the check came it took us like 45min to get everything to add up right (cause they dont split checks) and that was even with people just throwing money in so we could leave....

WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN

The Lone Star state meets the NW at this trendy Tex-Mex bar and grill.. In Short
A longhorn skull above the main bar, lavish metal artifacts on the walls and antique light fixtures give the room a big dose of character. The atmosphere feels just right for clientele that is well-dressed and includes employees from other area establishments. Wine and beer are offered, but icy margaritas and perfectly stiff well drinks are the popular sips. Main course must-tries include carne asada and ancho-chipotle baby back ribs; those in search of variety can choose from any of the numerous taco and enchilada combinations.
