I have been to Txori twice for dinner, and enjoyed it immensely both times. San Sebastien was my favorite city in Spain--mostly because you could go to a small bar with a counter loaded with pintxos, and pick up one pintxo (bread with octopus, potato, tortilla, etc.) for one euro. If it wasn't your favorite--it was only one euro. Here the pinxtos are slightly more expensive, but I think that the other reviewers' aversion to the Txori experience is due to inherently american expectations of a large cohesive meal. The first dinner I had at Txori was under $100, including a great bottle of wine, and my friend and I went away having tried almost everything on the menu. I can easily think of 10 other restaurants in the area where the bill wouldn't be so forgiving. If you want a large meal--Txori might not be for you. But if you want to try 5-10 different pintxos, while swilling a great glass of spanish red for $6--this place is great. Only complaint: the service was great the first time, lackluster the second. The lag time between finishing our meal and getting the bill was at least 25 minutes, which was annoying.
