I hate to admit it but I needed laser hair removal. The older I get the more hair that grows on my back. I go to the point where I didn't want to take of my shirt at the beach. My wife has been pushing me to visit a spa but no way did I want to go through a painful waxing like Steve Carrell in the 40 Year Old Virgin. I heard about Ambrosia through a friend who said the estheticians would take great care of me and wouldn't poke fun at what a hairy beast I've become. So I went in for a free consult and I am glad I did. I felt very welcomed by the staff and they answered all my questions. The procedure was painless and it only took about an hour. Ambrosia definately caters to women but the spa is spotless, the beds heated and soft, the estheticians have magic fingers I can take off my shirt at the beach now and and most importantly, my wife loves my smooth skin! Go see the gals at Ambrosia and stop walking around with a rug on your back! ;-)

"I am a big advocate of a healthy lifestyle being the basis for healthy skin...but I have still had my struggles over the years even with my fit life as a trainer. For my work I was asked to do photos and a video on an extremely short schedule. Of course, with the stress of it all my skin started misbehaving. I recognized the problems on my face would interfere with my project. In complete desperation I decided to see what a MedSpa is and what it could do for me. Wow was I amazed! Bridgette helped me determine the best course of action with my short time frame as well as the most cost effective approach. I had a photofacial done that same day. Before leaving, Bridgette made sure that I looked my best and powdered my face. I was so appreciative of the fact that I did not have to rush back home to redo my makeup! Awhile back I visited another spa in Kirkland, kind of a yoga/holistic/ease joint which I thought might give me a healthy and natural treatment. Well I guess it was natural, but that pinch-faced old biddy chastized me for the condition of my skin. She actually said I had craters in my face (some mild acne scars) and made me feel so awful that I never wanted to visit another 'spa' again. So I was a little fearful when I first walked in the door...but by the end of the hour I was truly at ease with Ambrosia. What is more important, is by not making me feel bad I am more motivated to care for my skin properly. I have just done a heavenly microdermabrasion with Bridgette and Deb touched up another threat to my photo shoot with a reasonably priced cortisone shot. My skin looks and feels great, radiant even-- doing exactly what Bridgette said would happen and healing up the problems beautifully. Oh yeah, and those craters? What craters?"
Pros: Relaxing, welcoming atmosphere with really great stff
Cons: As with all medspas, the cost is higher than a bit o'drugstore cream but totally worth it

Too bad for my husband's credit card that I am addicted to getting pampered...and it's only gonna get worse now that I found Ambrosia! The spa is beautiful and clean as a whistle, with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I love that they have the latest and greatest in technology, particularly their lasers for hair, fat and sun damage removal, their treatment beds, and products. Bridgette really spoiled me with my diamond-tip microderm. I was expecting to go in, have her quickly wash my face and use the microderm, but no! She began by placing hot stones under my shoulders (you've gotta experience that one!), cleansed, exfoliated, microdermed, applied a mask, and then applied the latest, expensive moisturizers on my face. Oh, and did I forget to mention she massaged my ears and scalp with a yummy aromatherapy oil at the same time??? Yeah, I felt like a Queen. I also liked how Bridget did not try to sell me on their products nor talk unless spoken to during my treatment, a major bonus when trying to relax! Then, I moved on to Deb, the Nurse Practitioner for my first time having Botox injections. Deb did not rush and talked me through every step she was taking to calm my nerves. She was gentle, clinical and incredibly professional; I'm sold. Ok, here's one of the biggest and most refreshing surprises: Ambrosia does not accept tips! No need to add or subtract how much your going to have to tack on to the bill at the end because the quoted price IS the price! Aaah, Eureka!
Pros: Ambience, great service, no tipping, no high pressure selling,
