I heard a band called Topaz and Mudphonic perform here. They were amazing and the food was excellent. Wouldn't recommend the cole slaw. good stage and sound system, great sound man. I'd say give it a try just for the music, but I loved the barbecue as well.

Thought I would try something new. A place I have never been to. Lets just say I won't be going back. I ordered soup, gumbo to be exact. It looked like Sh*t and it was cold not even room temperature. So I had them take it back. The waitress suggest a potato soup. The only thing hot there was the potatoes in the soup. For dinner I ordered the Gulf Shrimp Scampi Pasta. Its already bad that your eating in the dark, so I should be able to trust that my food is right and ready to eat. NO, the damn shrimp still had the tails on it and it ddn't taste to good. What the Hell. I'm like the review before, the only thing they got going is the roll. Who owns this place, I'm pretty sure they don't even eat there. The look on the waitress face, she had me thinking that she wouldn't eat there. What do I know she could have been smilling. Anyway, I wouldn't feed my dog this.

Pros: Parking was Great. Love the Roll.

Cons: Food Sucked, I want my money back.

My boyfriend and I went there for lunch today, my water had something floating in it and when I kindly asked the waitress for another glass of water she got an attitude. My ribs were tough and burnt! My boyfriends steak which he requested it to be well done was bloody and under cooked. The second time the steak was cooked it was still bloody. The sides that we ordered were not good at all. We requested Jack Daniel's steak sauce and was given gravy and was told that was steak sauce. The best thing there was the bread and drinks. I will never go there again!!!!

I agree with all the reviews written on the Memphis Smoke house. Sometimes it’s good, other times (which is mostly I’m afraid) it’s really mediocre or even poor. It’s as if they have different chefs that cook differently on different days. The meat is generally average at best, tough and poorly prepared at worse. The service staff numerous and ...uninterested. The only thing going for them is that they are the only BBQ in the general area. If another BBQ place opens up and they are good.....Memphis won’t stay in business long. These people just have a great location which is saving them, but that can change.

I've had the good fortune to have lived next to Red Hot 'n Blue in Laurel, MD, and to have lived a within a mile of the original Jack Stack Barbecue in Kansas City. (Jack Stack is rated #1 in the US for BBQ by Zagat's). Those are true smoked BBQ joints - with their specialties and +/-s (Pulled Pork and nachos at RHB; Burnt Ends and Beans at Jack Stack). This place doesn't smoke the meat - you can tell when there is no smoke rising and no hickory smell as you approach. The music may be decent, which would make for a great BAR, but the food is NOT BBQ. The baked beans had no meat (try Jack Stack's!) and were obviously warmed in the microwavve; the pork was pedestrian. On an upbeat note, the onion ring stack was unique with strong cajun seasoning flavor and the "sour green beans" were also unique; neither was particularly tasty, but at least they did not seem like a run of the mill Applebees or Chilis offering. Bottom line - go here for standard food - but this ain't Barbecue, it ain't Memphis style, and sure as all get out ain't smoked.

Cons: not smoked + not memphis style + not barbecue = NOT GOOD BBQ

My wife and I had a great night out when we chose Memphis smoke. We started with dinner I had ribs and she had pulled pork. I had never had smoked ribs before my wife being from the south suggested them and they were amazing. She loved her pulled pork it was a sandwich and it came with two sides a huge amount of food for a small price. The band that night was very entertaining Joclyn B and the Detroit Street players they sure brought in a big crowed. Our waitress was the greatest she was so friendly my wife was a waitress so if she says its good service then it is.

Pros: service

Cons: meter parking

Memphis Smoke... well I'm not sure what they're smoking, but it's not ribs or beef brisket. The meat quality was very poor... the beef brisket was inedible... it was tough, definitely not smoked, and was cooked more like a potroast... even then it was bad!!! The ribs were babyback and mostly bones... There wasn't enough meat on the bones for me to get a real flavor. The catfish was good. All in all... I don't think I'll be going back for dinner.

Pros: Parking

Cons: Food

I HAVE HEARD THE MUSIC IS GOOD. BUT THE FOOD, WELL THEY NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SMOKE FOOD. AND FOR BEING A BBQ PLACE, THERE SAUCE IS TERRIBLE. KETCHUP WITH VINEGAR . THE COLE SLAW WAS BAD FLAVORLESS, AND SO WERE THE BEANS. TIME TO START OVER, GET RID OF THE CHEF. WE ORDERED 5 BONE RIBS, AND EACH OF US ONLY GOT 4!!! GUESS THE OWNER IS MAKING SO MUCH MONEY HE DOESN'T CARE. HE MUST OWN A COUPLE OF THE OTHER OLDER PLACES IN TOWN. BUT THE WAITRESS WAS GREAT.

Pros: HEARD THE MUSIC IS GOOD

Cons: BBQ...HA ....ALL MEATS TASTE THE SAME

We went here for the music and had drinks and dessert as well. The band that night was incredible!! (The Glen Eddy Band). Next time we visit Michigan, we're definitely going back!

Pros: Music, Friendly Staff
