Love to dance but tired of the same old scene at Trinity and Neighbours? Grab a headband or pull on some western boots and check out a different scene. From the 1880s to the 1980s, we've got five in-city alternatives to overpacked dance clubs.

Dance Club Alternatives

  1. Noc Noc

    1516 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA
This might be like every other club most nights of the week, but when Tuesday rolls around, the 80s come back in full force. We’re talking neon leggings, teased hair Dead Or Alive and Madonna. Noc Noc is where the 80s went, and where you want to be.

  2. Little Red Hen

7115 Woodlawn Ave NE, Seattle , WA
Western boots and a plaid shirt aren't required at the free country dance lessons Sundays and Tuesdays at 8pm--just bring a little confidence and leave that clumsy left foot at home.

  3. Century Ballroom & Cafe

915 E Pine St, Seattle, WA
With swing and salsa dancing nearly every night of the week, this is the place to escape the club scene for a night. A half hour lesson is always accompanied by a three hour dance, and skill levels and all ages are welcome, and

  4. Tractor Tavern

5213 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA
Square dances are held at this Ballard cult favorite on the second and fourth Mondays of the month ($5 for singles and $8 for couples). This is a great place to reminisce about elementary school dances (swing your partner round and round). Beginners are welcome.

  5. Highway 99 Blues Club

    1414 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA
Located beneath the Viaduct, this basement blues club elevates the band on a centralized stage. Get up and dance if the feeling hits you--there is more than 7,000 square feet for you to show off your moves.
